I do some guessing starting off with NO spark? Did you bump the ign switch? look for disconnected wire or faulty switch (on or off switch just like house light switch) either it on or off can check using mulitmeter across the connections of the switch). Did you mess with the spark plug??? Check the gap. lay removed plug on head connected to the spark plug wire, switch to on and pull the rope. With the spark plug grounding against the head (touching) and the switch on You shoud see Blue spark if you pull the rope fast enough???? I bet it getting spark but no gas. Try priming it with carb. cleaner (providing you are not flooding it (spark plug would be wet??? if wet it won't fire) either directly into the cylinder bore (through the spark plug hole or down the carb venturi (hole in the carb.) As suggested above need alot more information and condition (plug wet or not, plug gap good, ign switch good, priming, and anything else you can think of???)

Hi, It's a great cleaner but do wear gloves. It will eat the skin off of your hands. Your finger prints R removed. I go to a tanning salon where U scan your thumb and the scanner was not able to read it. The same thing happened at an airport. I almost was not allowed on the plane. I smoke and after my hands were exposed to TSP without gloves my fingers I was unable to flick a Bic lighter. This is strong stuff. I have a jug of the pre-mixed TSP in the garage and have yet 2 use. I have always used the powdered product which U purchase in the paint Dept. in any hardware store. U don't have to rinse as long as U don't use too much. Just follow the directions on the box. It works well but just B carefull.

I just noticed I was replying to a very, very old post, but figured I'd leave it in case anyone is still reading. I had a bad experience with this zinsser oil based interior/exterior cover stain as well. I did not tint but it is tintable. I used it right after buying from depot and having it shaken for 5 min at the counter. I applied on an outside beam that was partially prepped with a wood hardener after removing dry rot, but the majority was just the previous paint that was in good shape. 2 days after painting, it's still slightly tacky. I called zinsser support and they said the only thing they could think of is if I had been applied on too hot of a day, saying it needs to be under 80F. It was topped out at just under 70 the day I painted, but the sun here does get hot in the South Bay below San Francisco, so maybe the surface was hotter?? I'll check today compared to air temp. If temperature wasn't the cause, then my experience seems similar to yours. In my case it would be a huge job to remove the product from the large outdoor beam so I'm looking for other solutions. I still need to add an epoxy pc woodie filler where I had removed and cleaned out dry rot before applying the cover stain (just used to make sure the pc woodie epoxy would stick and add an extra layer of protection against the weather to the entire beam...which I now wish I had skipped!) My current plan is to wait it out a week or 2 and hopefully dries (next week is supposed to be low 70's but the rest of this week is 80's. In the upper 80's the 2nd layer is even forming a few bubbles, so I've just been popping those to make sure it dries out beneath. It's only slightly tacky, but looking for no tackiness before I take the next step. If anyone has any tips or any idea if waiting longer will help, let me know please. Thanks! And for the next time, a better product to use than this zinsser oil based primer which was highly recommended by depot.

Very much so especially with new drywall. The paper adjoining taped joints will fuzz up a little, the primer permits these fibers to be sanded off. Then wipe down, I never use anything more than a swiffer or microfiber for this step. With old work, it's nice to be able to get the nerds left over from the primer bucket so they aren't part of the character of the room forever. If you used oil primer and a roller, you need to sand to knock down the little fibers from the roller cover that seem to emerge when using oil paint. (tip- try used but well-washed latex rollers for your next oil-primer job. they are fuzz-free) Casey
