You guys are the greatest! I'm having minor painter problems - he was supposed to come out yesterday afternoon and put on a bunch of samples so I could see them before work today, but he never showed. I passed him in his truck on the way to work this morning! They are supposed to be starting painting today, but I told dh not to let them start till I check all the samples. Both dh and the painters balked when I asked for samples. Now, it clearly states on the contract "Paint samples to be applied for customer approval yadayada..." but dh and the painter are telling me it's going to "look just like it does on the chip" and "why try any other colors?" May I hear a collective groan? Anyhow, in addition to the Cumberland Cream, I'm having a couple of richer (but similar) colors put on, and trying out a green called Coronado Moss. I'll try and post a photo of the samples if those crazy guys will even let me get a look at them. Thanks a million! I'll keep you updated. Amy

With the gauntlet gray on the siding, and white on the trim, windows, and post, I'd keep the garage doors white. I think the contrast would be nice since they are surrounded by the stone, but the gauntlet gray could also work. I'd order them in white and you can decide when they're installed. You could use white on the front door, but I think that would look really bland. I'd either choose a stained finish or pick a color you like so it becomes a focal point. Red, blue, or black could work. You never said what color your roof was. Hopefully it's a dark charcoal, darker than the gauntlet gray?

Your house is a bungalow style, so if you haven’t already, do searches for ’bungalow exterior colors’ … ’stucco bungalow exterior colors’ … ’stucco cottage exterior colors’ … terms like that. Once you get a few ideas, just look up any stucco house style … ’stucco exterior colors’ for more that could work on yours. Limitless possibilities with a house like this — what looks do you like? What feel are you going for? Charming cottage, stark black and white, organic and natural, beachy, earth tones, funky boho, whimsical, quiet, etc? The roof is a non-entity, anything can work around a gray metal roof. I’m in Texas, they’re used often here, and are just a neutral background. I like these greens, but without knowing your preferences it’s hard to advise.
