Comments (2)I wouldn't use the same color in the kitchen and LR. I'd take advantage of needing to paint only two small areas of wall in the kitchen and paint them in a very bold, saturated color, completely contrasting with your white cabinets. If you're going with a beige in the family room, I'd go with either a chocolate brown or a deep burgundy in the kitchen....See MoreBacksplash? No backsplash? What kind of backsplash?
Comments (25)didn't have time to read all the answers. I have no backsplash and have never regretted it...been over 6 yrs. It is painted with BM matte...which has ceramic in it. It is as beautiful now as it was when first painted. I love the fact that I can showcase other things ...art etc in my kitchen and no competition. Also if I ever want to change it is as quick as a paint brush...expense is minimal..paint only ! All in all I think it is serene as you point out . Here is one pick. Since I have a lot of high heat cooking in my kitchen..built in deep fat fryer as well as gas cook top I can definitely speak to the longevity of paint only. c ( more at this album )...See MoreBacksplash help/ Cambria Berwyn counters
Comments (51)It is heavy on barn wood. Skip the frou frou. I do not believe that it would look like a country quilt if you did a pattern across the entire backsplash. It would just look busy, detract from the overall starkness and soak up all available light which is an issue. If you wanted to do it in one particular area it might be ok, although I think it more probable it would look cheesy. I dislike tile because you cannot easily install anything, and once installed, you cannot change it without leaving an obvious mark. You do have several things that would go through the tile are you completely happy with them/their locations? Personally, I would consider a band of berwyn or torquay, as they are shiny enough to reflect light, the band should be tall enough to make the light switches on the left look vertically centered and then paint the rest white....See Morecambria summerhill quartz and backsplashes
Comments (4)Hello! We are so pleased to hear the both of you are considering Cambria's Summerhill. To start, we recommend selecting your tile backsplash by first selecting a complementary color. Our Benjamin Moore Paint Match tool, which can be found here, is a great start. For an endlessly versatile tile, we would like to point you in the direction of Modern Field Tile by Ann Sacks, which can be purchased in a variety of designs. We think 'Medium Graphite', 'Old Dove,' and 'Ecru' would all make great color choices. Hope this helps with your design considerations!...See Moreellendi
