Uffda...Lotsa C2 tinting...

Sat. afternoon (the 13th), a couple comes in with 2 rolls of house plans...

They decided on C2 for EVERYTHING...except trim.

(Funcolors...did you have anything to do with this?!?!?

Wellll, after going over the plans with them, and showing them our remaining stock (we've needed to order again anyway...!), we came up with a game plan...

* I could get the upper floor ready for pick-up Sunday (yesterday).

* Remainder for Monday evening (tonight).

Soooo...I worked a couple hours at home Sat. night- plans rolled out on the Kitchen table! DW gave me kind of a funny look when I came home Sat. with a roll of house-plans!!

* Upper floor, 2400sf, w/ 10' ceilings.

* Lower floor, ~ 1800sf.

Not a single "White" in the whole house...except for Trims.

* Walls are a mix of Premium-LOVO C2, and C2 Premium Eggshell.

* Ceilings are in C2 Basic Eggshell, many @ 25% of wall color.

* They gave me permission to use Satin where I pleased...mainly 'cuz I cautiously mentioned we may not have enough Eggshell!!!

When I'm done with this today, the total will be about 60+ gallons....

Wow! Have them post pictures to the Gallery since we don't have any C2 pictures there. I'm dying to paint at least one of my rooms in C2 but just can't decide on a color.

(s'pose I better ask if I can take some pix though...!)

Some of the (wall) colors were:
Quahog, Mortar, Thatch, Intrigue, Chai, Cafe Latte, etc.

This place is gonna look GREAT!

...although my "photographic talents" probably won't land me a job with Metropolitan Home...LOL!
(maybe I could "help" out on "The Girls next door"...;-))

Hi guys! I was "out" for a few days - traveling and too busy to think about painting and such. I missed talking to you all :-) Did not make it to any store in DC because by the time we landed and got the luggage it was after 2 pm and raining. So, no problems with C2 at the airport security check-point. LOL. Right before my trip, I borrowed P&L and Devoe/ICI fan-decks - and guess what? I found today something that just might work - Devoe "Fine Silver". The store owner said they'd experiment with creating a little shimmer by adding some silver pearlescent stuff. I am going to give it a try before going into all that trouble of shipping chips, samples, and gallons of paint across the country. Rococogurl, I'm also going to Lowe's tomorrow to pick up Martha Stewart color samples you suggested (thank you!) and see how they compare. Faron, thank you so much for offering to mail me the color chips. I would have to take a 'rain-check' if you don't mind as there isn't much hope that we'll have a C2 store here any time soon. I need to finish that bathroom ASAP for several reasons, so I would probably 'settle' for whatever I find locally and re-paint later when I have more time to do a thorough 'esearch' of C2, DKC and FPE paints. What do you guys think of Devoe paints? Is the quality comparable to BM? Thank you for all your support.

Ha! Nope, not me. Been working on relocating and my own new house for the last several months. I wish tho. I'm itchin' for a big project and something different besides my own four walls.

It sounds wonderful, Faron. They will be so happy they invested in that 60 gallons. Can you imagine moving into a new house and not one spec of builder's white!?!?! Dreamy.

* Are you near a C2 dealer?!
* If you haven't, check out C2paint.com for the online colors!
* Chai, Tempura, Luxe, and Thatch are colors that we're makin' all the time!
* However...if you're ever in Fargo, ND...swing by. It's surprising what a flip of long, wavy hair and a wink will get ya!!
(FANDECKS I mean, people!!!)

My Benjamine Moore Store carries the C2 paint. They have the paint chips under some funky lighting and they look so different when you pull them out into natural light.

I check out your suggested colors. Thanks.
