Thanks for the Cottage Red suggestion Houssaon. I might want to go a bit more bright/true red, but that is a really good muted option. As far as Edgecomb Gray trim, the windows, soffit, eaves and railings are stark white, so I was leaning towards a fairly white trim to blend better.

I don't know when my house was last repainted, but I know it has to have been ten years or longer. The house was built in the late 40's and has cedar shakes. Last summer, I painted the south and west sides, which both needed it. This summer I am planning on painting the north and east sides. My question, the paint on the north and east sides is in excellent shape. No cracks, chips, bubbles, or even fading (they match the freshly painted south and west perfectly). Do I still re-paint or do I wait until weathering and flaking begin?

Hi! Looking for suggestions for new paint color for siding, garage doors, shutters and front door. Would like to do something darker.

Gorgeous house!! Truly!! All I would do is paint the top half/ the greenish color of the house. Leave the bottom which looks like a limestone? Beauty! Would it consider a blue door? Like a deep rich almost navy? I’d paint the brick on the garage to match. Or whitewash. And leave the steps as is. Focus on landscaping? And maybe new garage doors?
