"FREE - Pitbull/Wolf mix puppies"

who would want to take a chance? This is worse than puppy-mills, IMHO

That sounds like a very dangerous mix, more from the pitbull than the wolf. both are unpredictable tho.
I just can't help but think there ought to be a law against that mix.

This is a very bad mix that would require a very experienced person, that really knows all breeds of dogs.

No pictures here, but is the mudroom your comand central? Where you get stuff on the calendar and keep track of everything? We have been using those cork squares and making them fit a space. My DH has them over his desk. I have a space in the dining room where we have them for kid artwork and our map so we can find the places mentioned in the newspaper. You can buy them in packs and they do stick really well. Put molding around it for a more finished look if you want and get whatever size you really want. As far as the playroom, I've found my kids are whereever I am, so I gave up on the playroom concept in this house. More concentration of storage of their toys. We have one small bookcase which holds VHS and DVDs. Any more than will fit on the case and they must be weeded out. I still like the Rubbermaid or sterlite containers for toy storage. Inexpensive and stackable. In great colors this spring too. When mine were preschoolers, we cut pictures out of magazines and taped on the sides so that put away was easy. I really wouldn't invest in any type of toy storage funiture, since I didn't find it to make the transition as the kids got older. Just have a good time painting the room. I had murals on the walls and one corner had a castle built with two boards and the corner walls for the back of the castle. We had an indoor swing attached to a ceiling beam. Most used item in the house most days. The carpeting was old, so I bought permanent markers and drew railroad tracks and towns all over the rug. Roads going all over. All finished. I opted for the white ribbon and the white tacks (thought it was busy enough all ready). It was a very easy project and the dots made it simple to line everything up. Boy, DD is going to be suprised when she gets home from school. Just need to hang it up now. This was a great recycling project since I used her old cork board for a fresh new look.

My desktop computer faces a wall mostly covered with cork; the cork is covered with inspiration pictures and some impt info (like the kids' annual medical forms), tickets (got to go see Duran Duran earlier this week -- be still my no-longer teenage heart!). I see it everyday but I see what is important to me: my eye doesn't see it is a mess. But I just took a pic for you and looking at the photo I can see how others will see it as untidy, messy, not pretty ... but that's okay. That's how we live here. I think it's nice the way you're thinking of making yours pretty. So that's me being "on-topic." This is me being "off-topic": thank you both valinsv and ttodd for your responses. We moved out here (Boulder, CO) from up the peninsula from Val(Woodside) -- I'm making the assumption that "SV" = Silicon Valley, which I think of as Cupertino / Saratoga / Santa Clara, but maybe Fremont, too? Omigod -- Afghani food & chaat houses in Fremont! ttodd -- I absolutely know what you mean about being where you are meant to be. Doesn't mean I don't sometimes resent it, but I know that for whatever reason I am needed here and can best serve here. To my core I understood what you wrote, and I'm grateful you're there for all those children, too. Thank you. But I also hope you get something *just for you*!

What I like to do is get fabric french memo boards and recover them in a fabric that I like. French memo boards are really inexpensive. I use the long sewing pins with the colored ends instead of thumb tacks. You just put the pins in pointing down and they stay much better than than tacks on cork. Really.

I'm sure some "genius" mixed these two breeds on purpose...it's probably desirable with the same type people that teach their pits to fight. We have to realize that some people don't have much sense! It probably would not be a bad idea to report this to your local Humane Society, that's probably not legal. I mean some areas don't even allow Pits in certain city limits!

I would bet it's bogus to begin with. Where did they come by the wolf, if they did have a wolf chances of them making that cross are slim, wolves aint cheap, even wok hybrids are costly. It would be a bad cross for dog fights, a wolf would not be a likely cross as they would rather flee than fight.
Its just a gimmick to try and get rid of some mongrel pups hoping some wannabe tough guy/gal will want them.

Of course, the "wolf" is a wolf-cross, and even though they are no longer legal, there are folks who have them. It is genuine, I am sure. Likely there are tweakers involved, they do live in a world all their own.

Yes, there are wolves kept captive around these mountains. I have seen some at homes in various places. I love wolves tho don't know if i would want one. I love to see abt the wolves grown up in Wisconsin but i can't remember all the details right now.

Oh duh, I thought it was short for Irish Wolfhound.
