Benjamen Moore Aura vs. Sherwin Williams Duration
Comments (24)I quit using Aura for wall painting about 2 years ago though I will still use the Matte finish when people want a washable flat. I'm leaning away from BM these days and more towards SW. BM is more durable for sure, but the application and getting it to look good on the wall is becoming more of a challenge. My theory is that a paint manufacturer will introduce a paint line, people will love it for a while, and then they mess with the formula or cheapen it to increase profits or whatever and the painter will start to notice about 4-5 years down the road. Case in point, I just did a job last year painting trim where I painted an addition in 2008 with BM Aura semi-gloss and there was still a half gallon left from 2008 so I was able to compare the 2008 version with the 2016 version and it was a night and day difference. The 2008 version covered better and levelled out better. The whole reason I used to love Aura was for it's levelling out properties. Ahh well, at least SW is cheaper!...See MoreSherwin Williams vs. Ben. Moore vs. Behr
Comments (118)Out of the choices Above I'd say BM is your best bet. Behr products are too watered down and their white is more of a gray so that effects the way the colors comes out when tinted. Stay away from SW they are a bit better than behr but they over price for the amount of TITO in their paint as well. BM offers a beautiful color selection and has an exellent product. HOWEVER I would love to put Dunn Edwards in the running here. We have an amazing selection of nearly 2,000 colors (not mention custom color mathces we can do), a superior paint product and a FREE Professional Color Advisor service (that's me) . Plus we have a ton of "kill test" listed on our website and in our store comparing each of our products to the competition. (: but like I said BM is a nice choice!...See MoreSherwin Williams vs Benjamin Moore Interior Paint
Comments (30)Concerning the Fine Paints of Europe. DO NOT USE !! My painter suggested this for its excellent results. Well, the paint completely failed. It cracked, peeled, faded in less than one year of use. The local paint store refunded me, and many other customers, the cost of the paint and plus additional amounts for labor. FWIW: the paint store closed down & filed for bankruptcy about 5 months ago....See MoreSherwin Williams Calming cream vs Benjamin Moore Calming cream
Comments (3)No. I had chosen the 'calming cream' and an accent wall color 'exhale' from Benjamin Moore. The painter is using a 'match color' from Sherwin Williams but never asked me or mentioned. I know there is no such thing as a real 'match' and although this is a new paint job I am a bit upset that it is not BM but not certain how different the 'match' might be. Thank you for any comments....See Morepaintguy22
