Agree with celerygirl, the garage door should blend with the brick or be the siding color. Notice how your home is more inviting with the garage door painted the siding color and the front door is an accent color? Accenting the garage door draws the focus to the garage which is a utility area and not an area to be featured. Some people do like to add a wood, or wood look, garage door to make the garage area less utilitarian. The front door is where you want the focus - it makes your home welcoming when the front door is lighter and brighter and not a black hole. There are times to have a beautiful black door, but it would in a home where the front door isn't recessed into the porch area. Or if you had the surrounding sidelights and trim area a contrasting color, like white (wouldn't work on your house). No shutters. Enlarge the shutters to get past the "meh!" If you closed them you'd likely have a gap where they wouldn't cover the window. I like these two greens.

What a charming house!!!! I actually like the dark green (that's what it looks like on my screen). I'd enlarge the shutters so they actually look like they'd fully cover the windows. As for colour, either keep the green or pull a colour from the stone - looks like granite fieldstone so should have lots of options.
