Glass block would have worked in that spot, but since you have already installed a window, perhaps white plantation shutters?

I would put a heavy fabric window treatment, picking up some of that gorgeous dark aubergine color you have on your walls. Fabric will absorb some of the noise in a room with mostly hard resonating building materials which your guests will appreciate when they have to visit the powder room....if you know what I mean....

I love that you painted your powder room purple! How refreshing to see that color used so boldly and contrasted with the white beadboard..it looks awesome!

How about black and white toile fabric roman shades?

Then a pretty valance for the top part of the window.

I think this fabric would be very pretty with all the white beadboard. I would pull some of the colors from here for towels, perhaps one of the greens and a lighter shade of purple.

You really only need something on the lower part of the window, so people can get some privacy at the bottom but still enjoy looking out/daylight. A cafe curtain is probably easiest, or I was going to suggest stained glass, a more expensive version of the window wallpaper above :-) (I don't think I've seen cannabis leaves used in decor before). Good old occluded glass is always good if you want to keep the room looking clean. An upper curtain or window covering is an option for when people use the room after dark.

I have stained glass in a similar scenario. It's expensive but like a piece of art in the room.. I ordered several custom pieces off the internet (all "clear glass, no colour") and I love them. They are classic, timeless designs and provide privacy while letting light in.

I also like begoniagirl's idea of a heavy fabric which picks up that colour.

Even though my bath is upstairs and looks out on my garage, I still wanted to be able to have the shutters on the window open, and have total privacy. I chose a frosted film that I ordered online through Graham and Brown. It's easy to apply and you can also peel it off should you change your mind.

Should you wonder about the red embroidered fabric against the wallpaper, that is my fall/winter WT which blends with the rug. The green in both is perfect with the wallpaper.

We have been wanting to add stained glass to the house somewhere. This may be it. Ironically, my best friend's husband makes stained glass - his work is beautiful.

Also thought about shutters, but I have a hard time picturing that. Then, would we leave the top empty, or put some ssort of fabric something?

We have had such a clear vision about so many things, and we're completely stuck on this.

andreadeg...I love the idea of black & white toile fabric. Just outside the powder room is this little "space" with another window (also needing something, but less important). I found a cute table and we have a tall black lamp with a b & w toile lampshade.

We had the same sort of issue in our PR. The PR does not have an exterior wall, it is against our garage. We wanted to put a window in but not have the garage view. We bought one of those decorative door inserts, put a frame around it and made a window out of it.

I like the shutters idea that my3dogs showed. That way you can leave the window open most of the time, and anyone who desires it covered can simply close the shutters. I'd not put any fancy curtain and stuff there, it's a pretty window. Maybe hang a sun catcher or something also.

I did the same treatment as my3dogs in my bathroom. The window is right in front of my jacuzzi tub, and faces the street. The lower part of the window has shutters, but I like to have more light in there by pulling the shutters open, so I attached window film to the lower portion of the window for privacy. Works great!

I love the idea of clear stained glass, especially since your friend's DH could make it for you. I think it would go perfectly with your idea of Parisien style. Whatever you decide, please post pics-can't wait to see. It is a fabulous bath-love the purple!

I have a window that size in my master bath. I didn't want to cover it because of lost light and moisture problems, but I did want some sort of privacy, and softening of the window lines. So I visited a local stained glass shop and together we designed a stained glass window in the colors and design I wanted. The stained glass window is mounted on the inside of the window -- on the wall -- using a piano hinge. So, I easily swing the stained glass in towards me and have easy access to the "real" window to be able to open it, clean it, etc. The stained glass window is perfect for my needs. I get lots of natural light from the window, and yet the stained glass design provides privacy.

One thing about doing the stained glass is to consider whether you want that window to remain operational. I would want to be able to open it, and your home's layout may have a reason for the opening there.

How about wood blinds that match your trim and beadboard? You could then add the fabric valance/drapes. I think a rich fabric would go with the look you're trying to achieve.
