Both are very nice. Just a word of caution with the Allen Roth products though. They are the Lowe's brand and I can't speak for the vanities themselves but other Allen Roth products I've purchase have been very cheaply made and junk. I wouldn't trust it for the long term, but that's just me.

If you want that vanity, before settling with a top, I could make some calls around to the local granite yards and see what kind of remnants are available. That is a pretty small size, so you may be able to find something you like for less. For example,we have a local shop here that gives you the remnants and only charges for fabrication. I got the granite curb and transition for our bathroom for a song compared to what I was quoted from other places.

My sister and BIL just redid their bathroom with very similar colors, and it looks great. They didn't use exactly your materials, but they did use Lowe's.

I agree on the granite remnant if you want to go that route.

We used a Lowe's vanity and ordered a different top for it that cost probably more than the vanity.

I prefer the top vanity. We have a Roth and Allen vanity in our basement as well- and it's totally fine. I wouldn't put one in a bathroom used everyday by multiple people, but for occasional use it's sufficient.

9x7 is pretty decent size, are you sure you can't squeeze in a 36". Ours is 36" and has a bit more storage.

LIke PPS said- it won't be used too often so I am not overly concerned about the quality.Unfortunately we only have a $500 budget for the vanity (and top/sink) so I really have to go for the big box store options. (Unless someone in the greater Boston area knows of a local place that can do the same for less).
@pps7- it is a decent size, however, the basement plumbing was done when we built the house. Unfortunately, the location of the sink is NOT where I would have wanted it. I wish I could have switched the toilet with it but being the naive sole that I was when we were building- I had no idea what went with what. The location for the sink is teeny (i am almost feeling lucky I can even get a 30" in). The shower appears to be huge- which we weren't expecting but it's what is in the deal. We are using our builder to finish the basement so we are getting a decent deal for everything. I may still look into getting a remnant but i'm not sure how that will work the sink as well.. Seems like it may end up costing more than the $500. I still have some time, but not much!

If there is to be a shower nearby with the possibility of a wet floor just a word of caution to ensure that the vanity is made of plywood sides and not particle board. Particle board will wick up any water and be ruined. My carpenter was adament about that for our basement remodel. Good luck with it! love your colors.

A friend bought a stand alone vanity that came with a granite top from Costco and I was impressed with the quality. Dovetailed easy close drawers and very attractive.
