Superman. Batman has too much emotional baggage! I loved the first Superman movie when he took Lois Lane flying. Ahhh, romance!

I'm glad you guys are amending the questions, because of course as soon as I hit "post" I was thinking some of the same things. -The stone definitely should repel all pestilence. -I think the questions are meant to be taken as independent scenarios, but I thought about stacking them like Quinn did, too, and it totally changes some answers (for me)! I mean, if you could bring plants back to life, maybe you wouldn't have to worry about pests @_@. -Definitely both powers in No.1 apply to all plants, not just your own, b/c when I was writing it, I was imagining people sending their cuttings to give your verdict on LOL. -I was also trying to figure out whether I would be able to keep the 10 rarest Hoyas alive if I had them. Also, I wondered what would happen if the "10 rarest" list changed over time. I think if it changed an extra Hoya would pop into your hands. Hmmm maybe that means if you killed one a replacement would pop into your hands. I'm headed down a rabbit hole now... My answers are: 1. (B) Have the ability to ascertain the identity and origin of a Hoya with a touch. This one was the hardest one for me, but in the end I felt like I'd learn more and be more engaged this way. Still, the ability to give life would make you dead sexy in my eyes. 2. (B) Wake up tomorrow and have the 10 rarest Hoyas in the world. I find it hard to get attached to Hoyas I didn't grow from a little sprig. On one hand, I love the idea of megalantha carpeting every square inch of my walls, but on the other, I feel like it would be a bit like waking up one morning and your baby was an adult and you missed the whole thing. Although according to my parents that is how it really happens. 3. (B) Have a stone that made all plants within a 1 mile radius grow 2x faster than normal. This one was really tough for me too! I don't experience pests that often, but I still have nightmares about mealies. I just feel like it would be a load off my mind if I just never had to sweat it again. On the other hand, if my plants grew 2x as fast, I could be the cuttings queen. I'd never have to feel all bummed out when I had to tell someone my plant wasn't ready to cut yet. I'd just be like: Awww yeah, Black Dragon for everyones! Plus, can you imagine how much fun it would be to walk out into the middle of a field of corn half drowned in the Missouri river and just watch it shoot up to the size it should be? My mom says you can hear corn grow, but I'm not farmgirl enough to have experienced it myself, but I want to someday. 4. (B) Have the ability to snap your fingers and acquire a cutting of any Hoya you wanted for free. This is a tough one, b/c my question really pimped that greenhouse out. But I had to go with (B) because whereas I can dream of one day being able to afford a greenhouse, I'd never again get the magical snapping fingers option LOL. 5. (A) Have the power to read your Hoyas minds and know exactly what they wanted. Duh. I'm with the others here. There are some things that are best left a little bit fuzzy. Even if in reality you know darn well what's in their heads, it makes things more civil when you have a little coverlet of mystery as to why when they're being such punks. Begonia, for me, it's why do they leave their socks and shoes lying about in little clusters near the couch. It's like the act of bending over to unlace your shoes at the door would be too degrading to bear.

This is evidently still an interesting topic. I almost never call my DS or DIL. I told them at the beginning of their marriage that I would love to hear from them -- whenever they want to call me. (I had an intrusive MIL.) They married one another, not me. With two grammar school age kids and work, they are BUSY. I only hope they have time to talk to one another! (DIL's family is not intrusive either.) DIL never calls me, but will sometimes email me. DS will call every 4 - 6 weeks. He sometimes uses speaker phone so we can chat with the whole family. DIL and I will chat for half an hour if *I* ask to speak with her individually. DH and I love to hear from them, but we have all the time in the world. They don't. It's good to have 'ties that bind' as long as the binding isn't a stranglehold.

Heck yes! I loved being married to my late wife and in no way do I think getting remarried at some point takes anything away from my love for, and devotion to, her. I promised to stick by her for richer for poorer and in sickness and in health. We had all those things. I wasn't planning on the "till death do us part" portion of the vows happening so soon but you don't get to choose the time. Some of the posters have mentioned they treasure their freedom and wouldn't want to give that up. Okay - but my view is if you choose wisely, you don't. To me, the best marriage is based primarily on friendship anyway - all true intimacy flows from that. I enjoy myself every day as a single Dad - but why not promise to share that with someone again if she wants into my life? The idea of blending families, finances, and lives is exciting for me - not daunting. If the right woman comes along, I'd do it all over again. Doc

Ya think they're ever home, though?

If I HAD to pick one, I'd pick Superman, I would like to get places fast, if he had time to zoom me around! And cleaning under the sofa would be SO easy!

While we're at it, can I become Bewitched? I would like to have my vacuum do all the work while I watch it.

Before he came into the real movies, I actually liked Spiderman better. But if I had to choose between the two you mentioned, I guess Superman. I wouldn't want to live in a cave all the time, and I think Batman might be gay.

I love both of them! But my favorite is Superman-I loved him "back in the day" when he was played by George Reeves! But I could never understand how Lois Lane couldn't regognize him as Clark Kent without the glasses!

So you'd really want a "guy" who hangs around in a cave, deep underground, with a butler and a boy, and lots of electrical toys? Hmmmm. Maybe it's the toys!

Since, in my single daze, I always had an eye for the younger guys, I'll have to choose neither and stick with Spiderman!

If you force dme to pick between Batman or Superman...well I'm married to mysterious and brooding, so I'll have to try Superman for variety!

My Roomba can't get under the sofa, Spicey, he just gets stuck and squeals a lot, so I've stopped using him, he annoys me. lol I'm hanging on to him, though, in case I get new furniture he can fit under.

As for female superheroes- I always wanted to be either Supergirl or Shrinking Violet. Wonderwoman was cool, but they lost me with the invisible plane. lol

If you want to feel really stupid, look at this list- I don't recognize 80% of them!

I wouldn't *marry* either one, but I might like Superman better since he was 'born' in Metropolis, Illinois (my home state) and he's a journalist (my major).

Batman? ICK! I thought everyone knew about the Robin thing. (I dated a man ten years my senior twice -- until I realized I was 'cover'.)
