Glad she arrived a nice healthy 8 lb 8 oz, she won't be in those 3-6 mos. size things very long. She sure took her time but some are slow at getting here. Hope you can post a pic soon! Glad they are in Italy(I mistakenly told someone he was in Iraq) glad the family is together!! That is so nice for new dad to actually get to spend time & bond with new little one!! Congrats! Kirk & Carol & just think, no sleepless nights like 2 yrs ago!! (there's a plus to being grandparents- GK's also often leave & go home when you are tired) Enjoy your new status in life!! It's so much fun!! Jan

We have a few workers still coming occasionally. I usually try to find something to do elsewhere when they are here. We still need to have the tapers in for the upstairs and if my brother can't get here from out of state to do our permanent stairs then we will have to hire someone to do that for us. The rest we plan to do ourselves. I keep saying if we can just get a couple rooms completed I can keep them clean but, dirt/dust still gets to the cleaner areas. It's a struggle trying to keep the new appliances in the kitchen clean. We are holding off getting new furniture until the taping is done. Oh well, it's better than having to pay for two dwellings, and it is soooo peaceful here. I love it. Yours looks peaceful too. Hang in there you guys are moving right along....

Lucky-thank you, I'm really not sure of the price on the floors. Honestly, my DH was in charge of everything behind the walls and budget, and I was in charge of picking out finishes and detail stuff. It was a great way to divide it out and very few disagreements. I'm sure they were more than oak, because they are considered an exotic, like brazillian cherry. The tub is called Piedmont, and we ordered it from Sunrise Speciality. I've spent some quality time there...it's wonderful. Lindy-actually you're not losing it. You left a very nice comment on the kitchen forum, from the photos I posted there. Thank you again, you are one who has been very helpful and encouraging along the way. Owl- Honestly, it didn't seem really real until we had packed up the boxes the week before our move. After 3 years of planning and an 18 month build, it seemed as if move-in day would never come. Best wishes on your move!

Thought you might like to look at the one below. It's contemporary and the lower legs accommodate the pillow mattress and yet he'll still have a wonderfully comfy headboard that he can lean against. We have one like it in fabric and it's wonderful. Here is a link that might be useful: bed and headboard

Awwww, that's Tami! He had better like us/and us, him...we are close enough that we can show up at any point! LOL (but far enough that it does take some time for them (or me..like last night when they decided to come up for supper to show us the ring! LOL) to get ready).

I know Kalie is watching this post too...and I am sure she is just beaming! She "knows" so many of you!

Sooo exciting, and warmest congratulations. Now all the planning begins!!!!! Have fun. You have plenty of time so the wedding planning stress level ought to be very low.

Be sure to watch Father of the Bride at some point before the wedding, and again afterwards. It has so much more meaning once you experience it too. Have tissues at the ready!

I will have to have BOXES of tissues! I am SUCH a sap...I told the kids last night that I will be BAWLING and most likely sobbing! To have both the girls up there, Kalie the bride and Caryn the Maid of Honor...good grief! I used to cry when we went to the school activities!! I honestly don't look forward to that!! (Maybe some Xanax would be good! LOL)
