How to paint new 'Cross and Bible' door???

We're remodeling and I thought I'd tackle painting the new 6-panel "Cross and Bible" door, but have realized it's not a good thing to start with when you haven't painted anything in 25 years. I sanded, primed with Kilz oil-based primer, sanded, primed, and sanded again and haven't found the right order to do the different surfaces without messing up something I've already done. I know to paint from dry to wet, but with so many intersecting surfaces how do you do the edges of the raised molding, the inside flat panels, the cross pieces, and the verticle pieces without running into partially dry areas you've already done? I think I need a roller for the large areas, but even with that it'll be tricky. Advice?? TIA
