Paint the front door a fun welcoming color, but paint the garage door the color of the house. I like your home, too. I love your house as it's one of my favorite styles. I would encourage you not to add faux anything, but embrace its natural, organic look which appears to be perfect for your location. You could paint the garage door if you really want a pop of color, and barring HOA restrictions, you have myriad options there. But since you don't seem to want to change the brown, add some large, colorful planters to your landscape for interest. Just remember that the beautiful thing about this style of home lies in its natural simplicity.
