Help son with math

Anyone know any resources or websites to help my step son get better at math. He struggles due to his mother letting him play video games and doing his homework for him. When he is at our home we make him practice it but I feel he might get better at it if we found something more engaging and entertaining.

There are a lot of fun learning games for children out there. If that doesn't work, get him a tutor. A student tutor can often relate better to a child than a stressed out parent and have better results.

How old is your stepson? Google math blaster and see if that site is appropriate.

My kids loved Operation Neptune, which is an old computer math game. I think it is available online through a site that lets people play retro games on the internet.

If we knew how old he was, we might have better suggestions.

I think you're right, your stepson would probably enjoy math better if you found some online games he liked.

Ken, There are two tablespoons per ounce. 12 oz. equals 24 tablespoons (2 X 12= 24). 24 tablespoons equal 72 teaspoons, because there are 3 teaspoons per tablespoon (3 X 24=72). If 72 teaspoons is the dilution strength for 100 gallons of water. The dilution strength for one gallon of water is .72 teaspoon (72÷100=.72). 3/4 (.75), teaspoon per gallon is as close to .72 teaspoon as any person could reasonably measure. One teaspoon per gallon may be too strong in strength. Don't beat yourself up because you had to check your math calculations. It's like the old recipe exchange, earring exchange, etc. It's like a pyramid, if 36 people send one thing to one person, and they get moved up the list and so on. Eventually it falls apart, and not everyone gets the 36 bottles of wines, pairs of earrings etc. The person who organizes it always wins, they're the name at the top of the list.

Gorgeous kitchen! I agree, I would do 3 pendents if you are going to use your 15" globes. I would space your pendents about 21" to 24" inches apart. So if you space it 21" apart: 12" from edge of counter + 15" globe pendent + 21" space + 15" Globe + 21" Space + 15" Globe + 12" from edge = 111" 24" apart: 9" from edge of counter + 15" Globe + 24" space + 15" + 24" + 15" + 9" = 111" Good luck!

Hi party_music. Thanks for helping me. I have trouble reading, but I should have looked it up online instead of just the package.....but maybe I missed it there too. I sort of freaked out when I thought I may have added to much, since I used it on all the tanks with tomatoes. Okay........so these tanks are oval......and are around 6'6" long and 2'5" wide and around 16" deep. So not counting the depth, it would be about a square footage of 16.25. I'm thinking I'm okay. My brain is spinning. It's sort of weird doing square footage when you take depth into account. Sorry if I sound a bit challenged. So knowing this info now.......does it sound like I didn't over-do it? Thanks!

My daughter has been using beestar math. The questions are all very good and DD finds the questions interesting and challenging and enjoy solving them. I like the summary of the kids standing every week and entire term.

Agree. My child like using Beestar pretty much. He has been using Beestar for a while. It helped my child in math calculation skills and calculation speed. The most Benefit that is better in math problems that involve kinds of thinking.

Try singapore math. You can see some videos of it online. I believe that we should teach our kids the meaning of math and not just pure memorization
