You 'paint' a pretty word picture, and offer some good words of wisdom. I got up at 5:30 but it is too dark out to see how much we got, but it is all white and pretty from what I can see. Guess we, in No Dak & Mn knew old man winter wasn't done yet.

We had a little rain yesterday afternoon, and a change to snow. It is only a couple of inches, and does "beautify" my world.

I was driving home from work last week feeling sorry for myself because we never go on nice trips or vacations (everyone is off to Hawaii, Jamaica, Mexico (a place I don't want to go to but that's besides the point), and how we've never saved extra cash, etc., when I got mad at myself and out loud said, "You idiot! People in Japan have NOTHING and you want more?"

I used to live ten miles out in the bush and have had scenes like yours. Deer and bears walked through our property often, and it was especially pretty when it was snowing softly. It is relaxing to watch snow. It's nerve wracking driving it it though. LOL

We've been getting snow too, but it's a heavy wet snow. It ices up over night which makes the morning commute to work tricky. By the time I get off work, it's melting and the roads are all slushy.

No deer or bears around where I live, Long Island NY. But it is snowing quietly-we expect up to an inch. Nothing compared to our seven blizzards in December-January.

I think I would be freaked out and angry if it was snowing here right now-lol! I'm so tired of the cold and crappy weather. It rained a little this morning but the sun is poking out, trees are blooming, daffodils are blooming, my new Yoshino Cherry out front is budding-can't wait to see it all bloomed out for the first time! Blue Jays were flying around the neighbor's trees out front yesterday.

I think I am snowed in today, as I can't get the plow to start, hubs is not around and there's a huge pile of blown snow up against the garage door. But it is pretty, and all the half melted piles of dirty snow are covered up. Now the dilemma is how to get the dogs out for their walk? The two will do their business right outside, but the "evil girl" needs to be walked at least a mile before she'll go. And DH thought his snowmobiling was over for the year! I kept telling him we'd get another dumping.

It looks like we have 5 inches so far and still snowing! At least it isn't wild and crazy out like the last storm...but still... :(

That's why I love snow, the peace and quiet that comes with it.

It is beautiful outside. We have at least a foot of new snow..and still coming. The trees are heavy and touching the ground in many places. The large pine off the end of the patio looks like and umbrella someone just folded up.

Inside not so pretty, sump pump died, snow melting, seeping in, panic and chaos to save all the work on the basement we just finished this fall. We have lived in this house for 12 years not even a hint of moisture...life is so fun!!

It's definitely the "snow cone" type of snow here. And yes it's got people panicking about flooding but when you live in a hole, you should realize water is affected by a thing called "gravity".

I was driving to work and seeing cars in the ditch, up on snowbanks, even semis hooked to tow trucks. The slush was slick, no doubt and most people were driving with some intelligence but there's always the few who are in the extra hurry.

I had forgotten about how it seems the deer always come out and frolic in falling snow. I'm not sure why, but I can usually count on seeing some when it's snowing lightly. They were big, healthy deer too! Definitely were not starved over the winter! But it was a good winter for wildlife too, even though there was a lot of snow.

Oh, and as I drove off this morning there was a squirrel out chasing back and forth in the street. IDK, playing maybe?
