Here's something about this subject. I just made a purse like the one on Annies Attic Free Pattern. I did not have a pattern. I just made it up as I went. Which I do most often. I see a handle and buy it then make something that I like to go with it. My purse is a darker shade of green with one light flower on it. If you can do it ,, go ahead. I give my permission. I agree, DROP IT!

I recently made a couple of denim purses that turned out cute. I got the idea from a fabric catalog photo. I used the jean pockets to make a raw edge with a cute fabric lining sticking out the front. It was fast and turned out nice. Then using the top of a thrift store denim jumper, I made myself a tote that is big enouth to put my 11 pound dog in. It's hot here in Texas most of the year and not safe to leave a dog in the car even with the windows down. It is lined with a bright print and the jumper top is the handles. I love it. I recall that someone posted some photos of a nice quilted handbag just before Christmas. I went back 5 pages on the quilting site and 6 on the sewing forum and cannot find it. I recall that someone asked about the pattern and there was no response. Perhaps you can find it if you have time to search. Photos were posted with the message. If all else fails, I could mail you the pattern. If you return it, it is fine, and if not, well I am not sure I will ever use the pattern. We can talk about that if you would like to have it. It is Simplicity Crafts 7098. Have you checked the pattern books? Let me know what you find. This has style A through H in quilted body with hand and shoulder straps.
