Littlem, I would say that if you want to move it that you should get an idea of how far the roots have spread out since you have planted it. When I found these plants I came back again to check out their growing habits, I brushed away debris & dirt & realized that their roots really spread out. I do not know how deep the roots grow, but I am sure that they grow at least 6 or so inches deep (if not more). I would dig out a really big chunk of soil with the plants so that I would not disturb the roots too much. Whitecat, in addition to the cypripedium I think I might give her my Kovachii to see if she can do anything with it. They have really clean water (fed from a spring), clouds regularly roll thru their front yard & they get the cool winters & springs that stimulate them to bloom (the upper 90's do not seem to be cutting it for this plant). I have had mine for a while & all it has done is put up two new growths =0( I tried ice (like I did on my Phrag. Grande) and it did nothing for me. -Ray-

It occurs to me that in the spring Thing Two was working on a different project that would interest you. She was working on summarizing and indexing an archive of interviews of Holocaust "hidden children" -- the Hebrew Univ. professor in charge has asked her to bring a box of the transcripts back with her and continue when she is back at Boston Univ. this fall. There is a really interesting story behind this archive, which sat untouched for years until this professor learned of it and bought it. The original research had been psychological, but when they realized that the subjects were all suffering from PTSD, they abandoned the research and turned to treatment instead. So the interview transcripts were forgotten after the original researcher died, but fortunately not destroyed. I wonder if Alona Frankel was one of the interviewees. The interviews were very carefully kept anonymous, though, so I'm not sure that Thing Two would be able to tell, at least not without some special permission to look at the names that correlate to the numbers, if such a list even exists.

Ceph, that is a good idea. I just really don't want to ignore this, and then bring it up in a month if BM does something bad and have the police say "well, why didn't you report it then?" I am inclined to think the police would act if I went to them. She violated the order, 100%, no doubt. It makes me angry in that respect becuase to me no contact means no contact. Maybe it makes BM feel better to say those things but I asked for no contact for a reason. I also do not like how she was dishonest about getting it to me in telling SS it was from grandma. I would have sent it right back out the door if SS had said this is from my mom. I don't know. I am inclined to agree with Ima in that, up until today, I have not seen much change in BM's behavior. She still flips out on DH every other week, she calls us nasty names, sends him nasty text messages on the 4th of Juluy about how she is going to make sure SS has a horrible relationship with his dad, etc. But now 3 weeks later she is "fine" and ready to make amends. I personally do not want her amends. I have forgiven her---I think--maybe not because I still get upset if I think about what my child has been exposed to directly because of BM--BUT I am not ANGRY persay. I do not wish BM ill will or harm. I just want to pretend as much as possible that she does not exist. I want my DH to deal with her, I want to live my life and raise my DD, and help my DH raise SS, and that's that.

I use different cards for different things. I love rewards and have managed to accumulate so far this year $1300 plus 2 free round trip tickets for an emergency trip home for a funeral this week. At first it can be a pain to juggle so many cards but after awhile it becomes second nature. I pay every card off in full, so never pay interest. I use the cards for normal everyday spend Groceries, gas, utilities, car insurance so on. My thoughts are as long as I am not paying interest let them pay me to use their cards. I have one card I pay an annual fee on but even after the fee the rewards more than pay for it plus. Amex Blue Cash preferred- Groceries 6% they also pay 3% at gas stations, 3% department stores and 1% everything else. This is my main grocery store card. I use it at Publix and places like that warehouse stores do not count. Chase Freedom- 5% cash back on rotating categories right now it is restaurants and wholesale clubs, Sams, Costco, BJs. Next Quarter it is Wholesale stores again and Amazon. Last year when they did Amazon it was 10% cash back. Discover IT- Just like the Chase Freedom it has rotating categories right now it is Amazon and Home Improvement stores. Since I just bought a new house the Home Improvement category came in Super Handy. Plus for the first year on your anniversary they double whatever cash back you earned the first year. That equaled $1200 alone for me last year. I cashed it out and put it in savings. USAA Cash Rewards Plus- Great for gas 5% cash back. Capital One Quicksilver - 1.5% cash back on everything. There are better cards for everyday stuff like utilities but I like this card and Capital One. I use this card to pay bills and for everyday spend outside of the other cards I get better rewards. Platinum Delta Skymiles Amex- This one I got the annual fee waived for 2 years so once the annual fee kicks in I am not sure I will keep it as there are better cards. I fly Delta only and just with the sign up bonus I was able to pay for 2 round trip tickets from Florida to Mass no money out of pocket. What's nice about this card is you get free baggage, priority boarding and a few other perks. This card is not for everyone but works for me until I have to pay the annual fee. Like I said earlier in my post. So far this year I am at $1300 in cash back rewards. I have not cashed those out yet. I usually cash out towards Christmas and that is my Christmas money or I throw it in Savings. Last year I earned over $3500 in cash back rewards but that was also a big year for me. I had to buy new furniture, I traveled a lot and I did a multi state move. All went on the cards and was paid off so no interest at all and I got paid to use my cards. Not bad.
