Turns out, my screen room wasn't quite done.. maybe now... lol
Comments (20)I'll never get tired of pics of this special room in the woods! Any nature lover would love to spend time there. It's right out there in it, yet has all the comforts. DD, I said ALL the comforts, I don't think you forgot one thing! LOL Thanks for sharing your fantastic space, and the great tips like the Gorilla tape, I never would have guessed that the glass had any help with stability. ~tenderlee...See MoreComforter or Duvet cover?
Comments (44)Here's how I solved my Duvet problem....I also put a sheet under my Duvet cover.............. I was finding it difficult when sleeping with the Duvet and the cover being used as a blanket , then, in the morning it was my bed cover....I'd be all wrapped up in it & it would get twisted as a blanket would.. I felt my bed was never completely made..How I solved this problem was...I bough & put on my Duvet, a White cover. Then I purchased 2 fancy Duvet covers , I like a change... I have the Duvet with the white cover tucked in at the foot of my bed...When I make my bed in the morning, I pull the Duvet up as you normally would..Then.., I just lay my fancy cover right over the top of the White one,,I also tuck that in at the foot of the bed. You would never know that the Duvet itself isn't stuffed into the fancy cover.. At night, I take the fancy one off & sleep with the white one that is permanently on the Duvet. That's the one the gets washed every so often.. You still can't get away from that lumpy look but I don't think its quite as bad when covered with the fancy one,,,..I guess there's no way of getting away from that completely.....It's a matter of getting used to.. Works for me.........See MoreA king comforter for a queen duvet cover?
Comments (5)I also have a king comforter in a queen duvet cover. My comforter is slightly bigger than the duvet cover, but doesn't cause a problem for me and fits much better than my queen comforter did. However, the best way to tell is to measure your duvet cover and then check the size of the comforter you order or buy. The actual measurements are usually listed along with the "king" or "queen" (at least when ordering online). That way you're not surprised. You'll find that sizes vary greatly--by as much as 8-10" on each side--while still being called "queen"!...See MoreComforter, duvet or quilt and where to buy? (long)
Comments (9)I have this duvet in "natural" http://www.westelm.com/products/organic-cotton-pin-tuck-duvet-cover-and-shams-b340/?pkey=cduvet-covers&cm_src=duvet-covers::NoFacet-_-NoFacet-_--_- I know it's a solid colored cover but it has held up very well in our home with two dogs. I've had it over five years and wash it often, it's easy to wash. It hides hair/dirt well because the pin tucks cause shadows and variation when you look at it. I also have it in green for my guest room and am considering buying it in gray. It just has held up so well and always feels nice....See Moremahatmacat1
