The chair is nice, but not with this room. It does kind of look crowded. Can you show a picture with the whole room in it?

I don't think you need the chair. Too much furniture and, nice as a different chair might be, it would still be too many pieces IMO.

I think a chase in there is a great idea but would not have the side chair which doesn't look like it would get used in this room but simply crowds the chaise. If you want it in your bedroom with the other, get another chaise or a comfy chair with ottoman for your cozy reading room. Makes sense to keep the other two together in the same room!

Would your chair go on the other side of the room between the door and the book shelves?

I remember a different thread where you had the chaise on the other side of the room -- I liked that much, much better. If I were using the room, I'd enjoy looking out the window, and I thought the small desk fit well in its original location -- especially with the artwork and lamp. The only thing I don't care for are the candles on the wall.

Will the chair fit at the desk? Might try angling it with the back to the bookcase if it doesn't look good straight at the desk.

The chair is too much....I think the chaise should be angled even more into the corner and into the room...I would pull the rug forward and I would center the pic between the sconces...it looks too far left to me....

Thanks all for your input. I tried the chair in different areas and have decided that I like the space more than the chair. So for now, I'll leave as it is.

I realized after using this room for a couple of days that it would be really nice to have another chair in here for hubby, kids or friends to sit and have tea and talk with so I found this chair and took grandmaof3's advice and positioned it by the bookshelves.

Looking for opinions? Does it work or not.
