Posting picutres is easy - not quite as easy as "cut and paste" but here is how. I use TinyPic- it is part of Photobucket and is also free - but you do not have to register. The photo's will not be stored indefinately - but will be there as long as they are viewed by people. It is the ideal place to host a picture if you just want to add something to your post. If you want to keep the pictures and repost them from time to time you may want to use Photobucket. You will see a box on the TinyPic page that says "BROWSE" - this will allow you to find the picture on your computer. You do not need to add anything in the "OPTIONAL TAG" box Then you will hit the button that says "HOST" - if the file size is too large - it will automatically resize it. If you are on dial-up this may take a few moments. Then a new screen will come up - and it will have 4 lines. The one that says "TAG" is the one you need to post a picture in a post on these sites (GardenWeb, That Home Site) Click on it so it is highlighted, then "right click" and "copy". There are some good ideas here. I tend to have a lot of clear glass punch bowls too, and several lazy susans which work out well. Long ago, I started collecting inexpensive clear glass items for my tables, so the food would be the star. Another thing I figured out a long time ago, is I can serve out of the same vessel the dish is cooked in, especially if it's fabulous. I invested in copper cookware, which I love cooking with, and because they make equally great servers. I've never needed a soup tureen, because my hammered copper soup pot is so beautiful. (It's also a double duty thing, which helps keep storage to a minimum.) I've been known to serve salad out of a bag with a brightly colored scarf tied around it, or use a fabric runner on a table for food, so I think you can use anything you want really. In my current stack of stuff, I also have a couple of colorful enameled and SS dishpans, and some restaurant supply bowls, which I use mostly for prepping. I'll fill several platters with the same food as well, which can be replaced easily during the event. Also helpful are bowls/cake plates on pedestals, which help save refrigerator room by using vertical spaces.

Though a repeat from another site, this is what I did with a few: An old wooden framed window, a few sheets of glass, clear caulk and a glass cutter are the basic tools you will need. Simply remove the clear glass panes (if present) from the window. These will provide great templates for your colored glass. If there are no existing clear glass panels, a cardboard template will work wonders. If you purchased a multi-pane window, never assume all of the panes are the same size. Simply cut the stained glass to fit into the sections of the window. You would be amazed at how easy it is to cut glass, though I do suggest using a pistol grip cutter and not the typical cutter one can find at any hardware store. You can find easily find someone who has cut glass and will be happy to show you. My husband is actually the one who showed me, and on the second try I had it down pat. Simply cut the panels to fit the windows, use clear caulk to seal them in, and wa-la! Inexpensive first try at working with stained glass. Very simple, basic, easy to do and colorful! You can use all the same colored glass if you wish, or mix them up. I used various colors in one of my first projects, an assortment of various clear colors I had in the glass supply box. I have numerous thin strips of stained glass which I have in mind for another window created with these strips. In stripes. I'll simply cut small pieces of wood to go between the strips of glass. Though I have a few panes left to fill in (waiting for the right colors to show up at the craft store) this gives a basic idea of what I'm talking about. We live in the country, so this particular window set did not get the full treatment of sanding the windows, painting them, etc. I was going for the "Trash to treasure" feel. I suspect that from your comment that you may be looking for improved energy performance with laminated glass; possibly comparable to an insulating lite. If so, then you definitely want to consider the insulating lite and unconsider the laminated lite. Laminated glass has a great many positive benefits when used in a window system, but clear monolithic laminated glass alone doesn't add a thing to the energy performance of a window - certainly not anything in any way comparable to what you would get from an insulating glass unit in the window.
