With photobucket, you are right, if you move them you break the link, and of course deleting them, but I don't think by adding pic to an album will break a link because I add pic to my album all the time and it is still OK. But I know when I tried to move my pic to a Sub-Album within the Photobucket it warns about breaking original links. As far as GW goes, since this is a slower moving forum, the pages last longer, you will see old Posts disappear very quickly off the Main Decorating forum, the server only seems to "hold/store" posts for so long in that Section... I can still do a search on my name and find my pictures from last year, whereas in the main decorating forum, my stuff is long gone.

Thanks for the compliment on the hardwood. It's actually bamboo. It's the Java Fossilized bamboo from Calibamboo. I think I'm there first residential install on the east coast. This stuff is absolutely gorgeous and I love it so much so far. We've been in the house a few weeks, just haven't had a chance to update the pics. I can tell you, whatever you decide to go with will be the right thing for your family. Facing the disability with my husband, and having it be very real and in our face forced us to look at some very real issues. We have a 12yo daughter. It spurred us to decided to go 100% handicapped accessible. My husband couldn't stand the thought of a future time when my daughter might need him in some part of the house, and he couldn't get there to help her. The idea of her sick with fever throwing up in the only non-wc accessible bathroom as he sat in the chair outside trying to comfort her...or having a nightmare as he tried to make corners to get to her bedroom. We knew that at age 12 there wouldn't be too many more of those times, but grandchildren will come one day.... He couldn't live with those thoughts... so we made the whole house accessible. Today a paraplegic could move into our house with access to all but the basement, and we are 100% ready to pop in the elevator as the shaft is prebuilt. However, if he did not have MS...and we only had our minor mobility issues and those of guests to think of...our decision might have been totally different. My inlaws built 100 feet from us on the same 17acres. They both have serious mobility issues. They lowered the switches, raised the toilets, raised the outlets and made the master wc accessible. The other bedrooms and second bath however are not accessible at all. At their age, and with their only surviving child and grandchild living next door...the money just wasn't justified. My grandparents, both just shy of 90 on the other hand are living quite happily in their 2 story home. Nana is blind, Grampa has COPD and a heart condition and needs oxygen frequently. They both can still walk, if a bit unsteadily and refuse any changes. On bad days Grampa sleeps on the sofa downstairs instead of heading up. I can only give you my experience and not advise per se. That said, we've been remodeling our 35 year old ranch for past 6 months. The floors are not level--walls are not plumb. Part of the reasons our floors are not level was due to excessive spacing between the piers. We did add some new piers on adjustable jacks as well as a 6" girder down the hallway where it was most appearant; however, we opted not to level the entire house. We were told there are many reasons a house can be out of level--from the piers, construction as well as the actual soil it was built on. If it's the soil, you can level the house only to have it "resettle." In order to guarantee level, they would have to go down very deep in the ground to anchor the piers (over $30K). We were advised if we wanted to further understand the causes, we would have to have a floor level survey--the process seemed very complex and expensive just to have the soil tested as was nto worth it for a floor that was 1-2" out of level over wide ranging areas. Be aware with leveling a foudation, it can cause other problems with doorways, trim, tile breakage, etc. I would only consider in the midst of a remodel. Even though my new piers are on adjustable jacks whent ehy set the doors, they were still out of plumb which they were able to mask through shimming the openings. It all looks fine now and much better than before, though there are a few areas you can take a level to and find maybe 1/3 to 3/4" out of level. It made for a challenging kitchen remodel with cabinets to be shimmed and granite will need to be scribed to the wall--and worst of the "sins" hidden with tile (which they can level and float). If you do have this issue with motion sickness, I would think there are many easier more costmetic changes you might consider in purchasing a house than a house that is noticiably out of level. Just my two cents. HTH!

The nails will go through the paneling, you just need to pound harder and/or maybe for longer. They go through easier if you are actually on a stud :) We live in a mobile home that's about 20 years old, with wallboard but I know what you're talking about. The other solution is if the item is heavier, buy the wall anchors for hollow walls. You drill a hole the size of the anchor, tap the anchor in and screw a screw into the anchor. Whatever you hang on the wall will stay without the nail sagging and dropping it to the floor.
