I have recipes for coffee ice cream and for banana nut ice cream that I have made and liked a lot. Also Smitten Kitchen's chocolate sorbet which is amazing. If these sound good, I'll type them in. Linking the chocolate sorbet.

The three ingredient ice cream recipe posted here by several other people made with raspberries is fabulous with the chocolate sorbet.

I did find out that it's possible to take a little carton of fat free yogurt, put it in the ice cream maker, and make my own frozen yogurt - - in whatever flavor I want. For that reason, I went out and bought 3 little cartons of Yoplait, 3 different flavors. We'll see how that works! (If it doesn't, I can just eat the next 2 cartons for lunches.)

Don't forget that three minute berry blast ice cream we all made last year. You make it in a food processor or blender. We really liked it and besides the frozen berries I used frozen bananas and even froze cubes of orange juice and made it like the dreamsicle ice cream in the Ben and Jerry's book.

Three Ingredient Five Minute Berry Blast Ice Cream

one 10-oz pkg frozed sliced mixed berries
1/2 C sugar
2/3 C heavy cream
2 Tbsp vodka (optional) prevents ice crystals and makes it creamier

Put a bit of cream in a food processor or blender. I used a food processor just because it's easier to clean than my blender.

Add the frozen berries and sugar and process until roughly chopped.
With the processor or blender running, add the heavy cream until fully incorporated. Done!

Put it in the fridge overnight--or sit and eat it right then and there!

I used fresh raspberries and after food-processing it I put it in my ice cream maker.

I usually make a custard base, then add whatever. E.g. for blueberry ice cream, pureed blueberries. If the flavoring is voluminous, I'll incorporate it in the milk part of the custard. E.g., for hazelnut ice cream, grind nut, boil in milk, strain solids, use the hazelnut milk to make the custard. Adjust sugar at the end, then chill, and put into the ice cream maker.

3/4 cup sugar or Splenda
1 cup water
Dissolve sugar in water in saucepan and cool.
3 1/2 cups of berries (I used frozen) any combo.

Put into a blender and puree with the sugar syrup.
Add 1/2 cup heavy cream (I use my homemade plain yogurt.) You can omit the cream, but is does make it creamer.
Pour into ice cream maker and process until thick. Put in freezer container and let set for 2 hours.
You may have to soften it in the microwave for a few minutes as it does get very firm.
