dust the place with mule team borax! it will kill them. You have to do it properly though, work it into carpets and rugs well with broom, do not vacuum for at least a week, borax dehydrates the flea and stops them from reproducing, however the eggs will still have to hatch and that batch will have to die so you will have to endure a few lifecycles to be fully rid of them so just keep up with the borax and working it in well. You do not want yourself or your animals to be in direct contact with too much of the borax of course. Eating it would not be good at all. Using salt and also Diatomaceous Earth can also work in similar manner.
