help finding the perfect off white

I have a Guest bedroom paintED BM Wickham Grey and would like to paint my furniture an off white, but would prefer something that has a grey or greige undertone (no yellow) and just can't seem to find anything. My 8yr old DD's room is next to this and has white painted furniture so want to do something just a bit different.

Bm's dove white (might be white dove) is a great versatile white. It appears grayish on the strips but it is a nice soft white.

I was going to make the same color suggestion. It was my choice for all the mouldings/trim in my home.

Go to SW and get the card with all the whites on it-there are several dozen. Take it home and hold various tones up to your marble and granite in various lights (day and night) and if one choice is not obvious, pick the two or three you like best. Then go back to SW and get $5 sample jars of the ones you like best and paint a piece of poster board or scrap plywood with the chosen colors (so you get a large sample) and place the larger samples in your room. Again inspect and compare at various times of day and night. I think the right choice will become obvious. If you're still not sure, ask a friend you know has a good eye for decorating to help you. Better to be safe than sorry and spending $10-$15 on sample jars and really being sure is better than spending $30+ on a full container which is non-returnable and find it's not really the right shade. I think I'd look for something that blends well with the cream background in your granite which is beautiful.

May_flowers and Feisty68 I do appreciate your input-be blunt! I need it! I am at design dilemma for sure! So, after the thread I started about the gap areas under hood, I debated two ideas- 1. filling space with stainless or 2. ditching upper stainless and using tile... My only reservation with the stainless is that the riser shelf is not as wide the space. It won't look seamless on the sides. Unless I ditch riser shelf, get custom piece and have a shelf built in. Originally I wanted no tile, hence the 6 inch b/s but it looks unfinished with those gaps... If I do a bigger stainless, do you think seeing that the riser shelf is a separate piece is a big deal, or should I try to make it totally seamless by just starting over with a new big sheet, ditching riser, and having custom shelf?

I just got through buying some off white for my trim and I noticed in Home Depot that they now have whites with the same color tone at the end of the color swatches... for instance, whites with a greenish tone at the end of the green swatches. Not just the green, all color tones.... You might want to check them out.

Maybe BM Monterey White? It is a very creamy off-white and in the historical collection. I don't know that it has a gray undertone - I would say it has a green undertone - but it's on all the trim throughout my house and I like it with the other grieges I'm using.

I've used BM Cloud White on trim and furniture as well, and it looks just a little bit gray to me on a paint chip, though very white on the wall.

Another plug for BM White Dove. We have it throughout our house and I love it. Dunn Edwards Whisper is nice too.
