Me too...It's hard not to feel that way with the beautiful weather...I trimmed back some plants and some kind of beetle is hatching in my garden the air was full of them...maybe stink bugs...

I've had the urge for about a month now...Spring better hurry.....Or I'll be over it....LOL

It's cold, gloomy and wet today. I still had to go to the nursery, but the plants didn't tempt me. Gotta have sun!

I cleaned out my flower beds, then I put some pansies in and I re-arranged some hens and chicks. Now it's colder and even though it all looks good I bet it's not long before another cold snap snaps me out of the mood lol. But right now I have daffy daffodils bloomin' and they look sweet!

Oh, I am so ready to start planting. Looking through catalogs. I want to plant so more Knock out roses. What are you'll planting?

Yesterday, I cut some french pink pussy willow, curly willow and forsythia branches to force indoors. I already have a vase of forsythia branches blooming on my kitchen table - yes, I have spring fever really bad!

..six inches of new snow on the ground and it's still coming down and the only shovel I've needed for the past three months is the snow shovel......

*sigh*

Lori

I would love to dig in the dirt, but here in north Missouri under 5 inches of snow and ice that's finally melting a little, the first inch of dirt is slick slimy mud and the next 4 inches of dirt are frozen. Maybe someday . . .

I definately have the urge, however we are expecting 15cm of snow on Tuesday! It will be a while before I'm actually digging in anything but snow.
If you have nice weather enjoy it!

I've been at it for a couple of weeks now. I've made 4 new flower beds, and planted a lot of shrubs and tropicals.

About a foot of snow on the ground here yet, but, tomorrow we start planting hanging baskets in the greenhouse for Mothers Day sales.
Ron

It was 84 degrees here today and I've already started digging! I will transplant the tomatoes this week and plant squash, spinach, turnips and lettuce. Sometimes we do get cold temps in March, but not often. I'm going to take the chance. Bettye

I can only dream of it for at least another 6 to 8 weeks.
Until then,I'm afraid the only digging I'll be doing is with a snow shovel.

Kay Jones,

I envy you I have ben searching everywhere for pussy willows and curly willows. My girl love to help me in the garden and we have been rooting plants and forcing things. I also bought the girls each one of those little jiffy pot greenhouses, we will see how it goes.

Staci

We had no snow in January and half of February, but got hit with ice and 8 inches of snow last week. My indoor plants are keeping me busy, I'd love an early spring, but it doesn't look good!

I noticed I have quite a few little heads poking through the ground, yippee, Springs'a comin in central British Columbia. Got to get out there and clean up my beds.
Question for Ron or anyone that knows...I want to transplant some perennials from one bed to another as it is way to crowded - when and how is the best time and way to do this?
Thanks,
Suzan J

I am jealous of all of you with warm weather. I won't be able to dig probably for a couple more months.

I have decided I'm going to do more container gardening than flower beds. I can't seem to battle the weeds fast enough and Pawle Pug loves to nibble.

My next goal is Herbs.

Gayle

Gayle, I started doing a lot of container gardening a few years ago and I love it b/c it's an easy way to make the deck look great. I have several tipsy pots and use trailing plants along w/ all the flowers--impatiens, periwinkles, begonias. I was able to save them through the first couple of freezes here by covering them but they finally did freeze. I still do the flower beds, but the containers add so much. Wonderful around the front door! And there are some gorgeous flower pots out there--Tues. Morning, Sam's, etc have really pretty ones.
