Anyone have a Delta Pilar faucet?

I'm in the planning stages of my kitchen, and I'm smitten by the Delta Pilar, but I'm concerned because I don't know anyone that has one, and the local plumbing supplier has just started carrying it so they have no feedback yet either. Does anyone have experience with this faucet, opinions? Sorry I don't have a picture (still trying to figure out how to do that), but it is the faucet with the 'touch on/off' technology).

I have it, and while it can be a little annoying at times, I'm getting used to it, and I like it more and more as I use it. Sometimes when you're wiping around and it comes on and wets your sleeve, that's annoying! But this morning I was getting a pork roast into a crock pot, and it was very useful!

I have one. I bought it from Amazon.com and have been using it for almost two months now, I absolutely love it! It works just as promised. I wish all my faucets in the bathroom has this touch feature. Amazom.com and Faucetdirect.com have lots of reviews. I read it on some of the reviews that it took plumber hours to figure out how to install it. After reading the instructions, my husband and I installed it ourselves. It's very straight forward, just follow the instructions step by step, it took less than an hour and we are not handy people!

I think it's really worth it!

My clients love their faucet - just finished with their remodel....it's cool and I am not sure about the batteries - I would recommend buying from local plumbing supply place - they will stand behind it better than ANYONE!

Thank you very much for all responses above. mabeldingeldine, I don't know if the switch problem happens only to your specific Ashton faucet or all Ashton faucets are like this. jw34, your pilar faucet looks beautiful. Yes, it's the best if the sensor works. I saw some reviews on amazon and lowes complained that the sensor did not work properly. Mydreamhome and sas95, thank you for your information about allora, it does stand out compared to others. I kind of don't like the appearance of the matching soap dispenser. pdxkit, is Addison similar to Ashton? Is it also available at local lowes? I cannot see your comparison table. Co-co, thank you for your picture. You faucet looks nice.

I don't know anything about your particular faucet but call Delta. They warranty there faucets forever. If it needs a part they will send it to you.

If you do a search in the box at the bottom of this page, there are several previous threads about it. Just search on "Pilar". (assuming search is working at the moment, of course)

I was originally interested in the Allora (which I still really like) because of the pull down feature and the looks. The plumbing supply store people highly recommended it (very good quality, good feedback, etc.) I think the Pilar combines the good looks with the convenience of the hands free function. I really want to make sure though that I'm not missing something - thats why I wanted to hear opinions of people who currently have one.

There's at least one Brizo faucet that has a touch mode if you want other options in style.

You do realize the Pilar is not totally "hands free"? You still have to touch it to turn it on. For true "hands free" functionality, a foot pedal is a better bet. However, if you're OK with touching the faucet (even with a hot pan or pot of boiling water in your hands), then you will probably be happy with it. It's certainly better than a "regular" faucet!

As to quality, IIRC, Delta has a pretty good reputation for quality.

I got it, but it's not installed yet...so Im interested to hear all of your opinions, too!

I love the fact that that I can just touch it with my forearm when I have disgusting raw chicken all over my hands!

I have it too, but it's not installed yet, either. Can't wait to try it out.

My husband and son are very excited about the faucet and the ice maker. They are easy to please!
