What Color Blue in Lyfia's Top Pic? And, other Blue MBR ?'s

Anyone know? What's your best guess?

Also, I got an amazing deal on a gorgeous creamy white Sferra blanket cover and pillow shams at Tuesday Morning last week. (I'm going to make it into a duvet cover somehow) I have dark, traditional furniture and I'm planning to paint the walls the color of blue in the picture I'm asking about. The trim will be BM ivory white. I'd like to use a little yellow in the room somewhere. What should I do about the curtains? White curtains seem like too much white, but I'm not sure. Please! I need help. Again! Suggestions?

The poster of the picture says, " The color on the wall is Benjamin Moore flat in a shade called "silver marlin". The trim is a cream and the ceiling is white." I also love that color.

Well I called Bellsouth and boy am I fuming over this! First a technical note: when you upload pics to a website, that uses bandwidth. When you upload a LOT of pics to a website, and then download others off the website to make room, so you don't exceed your 10 megs of free space, that uses a LOT of bandwidth. They told me that, bascially, I moved too much information around last night so I'm being penalized. They have blocked my site for 24 hrs. and there is NOTHING I can do about it. So, tonight, at 4am, if I want to I can move pics around again and you should be able to see my site from that point forward. The things that make me angriest are: 1) There is no way for me to tell how much storage space I have used up. (I get only 10 megs - who knows how much I have used?) 2) NO WHERE on the Bellsouth personal web pages site can I find ANY reference to this ridiculous "bandwidth" policy! And neither could the Customer Service Rep! If I had known they had a policy about moving large quantities of data, I would have made sure to "dribble" it up there over a few days' time! ARRGGH! So tune in tomorrow and perhaps my pics will show then. -Regina

Thanks, purplemoon & luvs! $135! Wow! Hope you'll see a better deal one of these days...cause my BabyDoll was my Mom's but she's not antique or anything. My sis has the "twin" (which was dressed as a baby boy) & when Mom gave it to her, my sis changed the doll into "girl" clothes! LOL! (actually, they are identical "it" dolls...hair cut the same, etc.) Think I will e-mail my sis some pics of Dollbaby...she will think I've "lost it" & need something more to do! NOT true! I stay busy all the time! LOL! I buy 3 - 6 mo. clothes...like that jumper was $3 ... but now I'll be watching GS's cause can get better buys! LOL! Thanks, gals! Jeanne S.

dc solah - I have been searching the internet trying to find examples & your right, it's difficult. A lot of pool places have a great gallery but do not indicate what the tile and/or finish is. That would be a nice addition to their websites and might help sell more of the products they have available to customers. You may have already seen these but just in case I did find some pictures of the prism blue that ppl have posted on here. Link below. Good luck! wetdog, i actually did a search on the forums to see how to do it because I had never posted pictures either but it wasn't too hard. I used Photobucket to upload my photo's (it was free) and once I put them all in an album I just copied the address from the top of the screen and then pasted it into the Optional Link URL section on the forum. You then just put in a name for the link (like Desert Tan) and then post. If you are just wanting to post one or two pictures all I did was copy the HTML tag that is below the picture in Photobucket and then pasted it directly into your msg. Hope that helps! Late to this thread but your BPantry shares a lot in common with what we're contemplating. Can you share dimensions of: 1. width of floor 2. width (i.e., depth) of each countertops 3. width (ie, depth) of cabinets? And do you recommend any changes to those for a de novo project? We're considering: 40-42" for the floor width - do not want it too wide or there is lost efficiency of movement; but of course do not want to be confined when a drawer is opened; 18" deep countertops - this is, after all not the kitchen, but is a clean-up and storage area. But if we do not place the d/w at the nether dead-end of this long room (we may or may not), then at least one counter will of course need be the requisite 24 for the d/w 15" & 18" deep cabinets. Thanks for your and any others' advice...perhaps we will begin a thread of its own.

Thanks Lynn. I see that Sonicstef's room is the "Silver Marlin" (which I like, too) but I'm asking about the picture at the top of Lyfia's chain of pix.

That is a pretty color also but I am not sure what color it is. Maybe send this question onto that link and the poster will see it?

sadiesmom I love that blue in the room too. Even if you are told what the color is on the wall, it will not be the same IRL. Between the lighting of the room, the camera and your monitor there are too many distortions to the color. Your best bet is to try to find color swatches that match what you see on your monitor. Or you can print it and hopefully it will print close to what you see and that can be taken to the paint store for a color match.

If you go to the source of lyfia's picture, it is a luxury hotel in Auckland NZ

So you could try emailing the hotel, but chances ar even if they tell you the color, the paint won't translate into a US one...
