Beach house -white paint update.

Not too much 'paint' progress this weekend. But we got some furniture placed.. mainly to help us start figure out the kitchen design (just posted our beginning thoughts on this).

But I think another coat got added and with furniture placed it is easier to imagine. I don't have slipcovers on any of the furniture yet.. I think the sofa and big chair will be lime green and the 2 bucket chairs will be dark blue slip covers.

So here is the latest. You can see from the disaster in the background why this is going to take forever!!

I agree! The space is so much brighter...it's going to be wonderful when all is done! Hang in there:)!

@Dunn Edwards. I love the meta data info that pops up when I Google your colors. Whoever made the decision to do this should get a huge bonus this year because it's freaking brilliant - and USEFUL. I found this by accident when I was standing in a partially dry-walled reno in 110° Phoenix heat and Googled one of your colors. BAM! Everything I needed right there on the first line - on my phone. Made me so happy I almost cried. Also, if you include H/V/C with your posts, it will not be lost on the readers here. Many *get* color notations.

I imagine you can take out those fluorescent panels (?) and replace with drywall and a cute small chandelier or semi-flush fixture. Maybe look for that first, and use it as a guide in choosing finish and/or look for cabinet hardware. I like the idea of semiflush to keep from blocking the view.

Thanks all! Very happy with the white decision. Yes the trim will all be white as well -just a brighter/semi gloss. That will be a job getting it all the way up on the lofted ceilings.

It's been a while so thought I would get some more recent photos posted. So happy with the white. Just have to get some trim up on the one back wall. Floors went in last month. Hope to get curtains up next week. Lots of kitchen work to be done, but getting close! Not sure what we will do with the carpeted stairs yet. But it's come a long way!

We used SW Westhighland White.As you probably know choosing a white paint is so tough. We wanted something on the creamy white side, not stark white.
I think he used SW extra white on the trim.
