Can you help find the right color glass mosaics? (see pics)
Comments (3)it would be great if we could see a picture of the granite. But without seeing the granite, I would think a simple not-busy backsplash would work best. The first one is nice, but seems way too busy next to busy granite. THe last one seems like a safe choice. But again, this is almost impossible to assess without seeing the granite. The vertical colors in a room have more of an impact than the horizontal colors so another big factor on the overall look of the room is the quantity of backsplash and the quantity of other wall surface color....See Morefaux 'glass mosaic' vinyl tile for backsplash
Comments (8)I've been checking ebay and most of the 12x12 sheets of glass mosaic tile is running about $14/sq foot. I found the faux tile. Its called Smart Tile Mosaic on the Home Depot website. It's $8/sq foot, but the convenience factor of peel and stick is tempting. I think I will go to HD to look at it in person. It's hard to get the full impact without seeing it in person. I just thought it would be less expensive than $8/sq foot. I may have to try my hand at doing regular 6x6 tile. They come in pretty designs now....See Moregrout for blue/green glass mosaic tiles?
Comments (2)that's very similar to the tile we used in a bathroom. We did go with white grout -- here are a couple of pics so that you can at least visualize it with white. I bought some kind of special grout that i had read about on the bath forum for mosaic tile. It was several months (and a whole kitchen!) ago, so the type/name escapes me, but I will look at home or ask DH and post again if i can remember it....See MoreHow to install small glass mosaic tiles around tub surround
Comments (4)here's a pic of my tub after I finished filling with thinset then Hydroban. Here is the hardibacker prior to the fill, I had modified my plan. I taped the seams and corner with fiberglass tape and thinset, then applied more hydorban to blend with the wall. The bottom I filled with thinset then hydroban applied as in the pics above....See Morenalcar
