Comments (24)Chispa-I did look on Houzz, but I didn't see that particular photo for some reason. Thanks for posting it. I showed it to the cabinet maker, so we will see. I am not crazy about the slat doors, although I realize they are necessary for venting purposes. Hartwood, Fori, Maggie-I think I am going to end up with them sidexside under counter. I'm not sure if I'm going to have pocket doors built for them, since I suspect they will be left open most of the time anyway. Mags438-What E'Lux set are you considering? I went to Best Buy yesterday and they all seemed to be the same depth, although I did not have a measuring tape with me. The shallower depth would be wonderful, since I have to buy an extra deep counter. I'm planning on doing walnut, I think. So here is the rendering I did of the sxs next to a storage closet. Sorry it looks like it was done by a 7 year old, my PS skills are about at that level. There is a fireplace on that brick wall, I just couldn't find an internet photo similar....See Moreunder cabinet lighting vs under cabinet paper towel dispenser?
Comments (36)If anyone is interested, contrary to my own plan I wound up installing the UC panels under the front of the cabinets instead of the back. I did this everywhere except the PT holder. There, I mounted one just behind it, not all the way to the rear. The choice for me was simple: I could see the panels in the back and not in the front. The PT holder hides the panel to an acceptable degree, and there is no noticeable inconsistency between the PT panel and the next one in front thanks to excellent diffusion. The glare/reflection I worried about is not a factor and I've got a dual wireless dimmer mounted to the wall. Very happy with the results! Thanks again to everyone for your help. Btw, I used "Independence" dimmers and "Designer" panels both by InspiredLED. Peter did a good job, quickly providing plans and suggestions and also fixing a hiccup when a piece arrived defective....See MoreLaundry - pink cabinets and walnut counters?
Comments (22)Thanks! Fori, I dont know that I would. It’s kind of an awkward space...maybe drawers with a counter and walnut shelves above would be more practical? Thanks carol! I’ll look into the Formica idea, but now I’m leaning towards using casearstone, like the rest of the house. Terrylynn..that is beatuiful! I did not know that even existed! I will look into it, but I already signed a contract to put concrete flooring in...but that might be a good choice for some of the spaces too, over the concrete. How crazy would a cement tile backsplash be in the laundry? I’m in love with these tiles......See Moreweedmeister
