Is that a faint green stripe I see between the pink and purple strips of fabric on the accent pillow? I would think about that color. Having a contrasting color on the walls will make the bedding and the cool chandelier the star of the room. Having a strong pink or purple on the walls will make it all kind of blend together.

It's hard to see but it's a grass green polka dot ribbon along the shams and bedding. I found some really cute polka dot sheets in the same green at Target. It is kind of bright for a wall color though, maybe? The green in the sheets on my link is more olive looking. They are both a true grass green.

A nice green jumped out at me too. Maybe something like that small box in front of the bed.

Hmmm. Never even thought of green! I'll play with some colors. DD is like "PURPLE IS MY FAVORITE COLOR"!

The playroom right next door is the green of that box. I'll lay it all out in that room and snap a pic. It may give me the photoshop effect going on.

Not sure I want two rooms that green though...hmm...maybe the playroom can go purple. Although it is visable when you open the front door and look up and when you drive by the road because we sent at a slight elevation to the street. Hmmm...Could I get away with a shade of purply pink?

I know there is another discussion here about letting kids pick their bedroom colors... I just know that my DD (almost 7) would never want green walls, and yours may be the same! In fact, she did have a pretty light green at one point, but as soon as she was able to assert herself, those walls were painted pink! We have a vacation place and there, my DD's bedroom happens to be Beach Plum. It's pretty, but maybe consider a lighter hue (I don't have the BM deck right here, but maybe there's a color that's 1-2 shades lighter than Beach Plum?). I agree that you don't want green if there's green in the room next door.

Okay, just found a couple. Now, this is the smallest bedroom you've ever seen so it's not easy to get in there and take a good picture, but you'll get an idea of the color. It looks pretty accurate on my monitor.

Here's another color that I like -- this is a tiny half bath and this color is BM Piano Concerto. Ignore the fact that the switch plate is off-white, which bugs me every day but I keep forgetting every time I go to Home Depot!

I vote for the pretty lavender Sueb20 just posted. I don't see green with this beautiful chandy and bedding at all. ;c) I also like the Beach Plum too! Maybe even a little deeper plum. Love it!

Here are some visuals. My first thought was, also, too much blue-red with the pink and purple, my first thought was a green also. Yellow and purple are complementary, though, so that would make the purples sing -- although I'd just do a soft pale yellow. Very pretty, airy and happy. The green is quieter.

But, being her favorite color, when she's sitting or laying on the bed bed, or otherwise not the purples of her bedding, she may want to look out on a sea of purple/lavendar.

Remember if you see a few you like, you can save them to file with a r-click and plunk them in Word or something -- so you don't have to look at all of them or scroll around :)

I like the soft violet color that is shown with the pink drapes - it's similar to Sueb20's colors. It appears to be a nice soothing room color that has some color but not enough to fight with the new drapes, bed linens and chandelier allowing all of them to shine in the room.

We also never thought that maybe a shade of purple drapes would suit the room better! We are going to decide tomorrow or the next day! :) Thank you a gazillion for taking the time to do that!

I like the second one. It's a mix of the pink and the purple, softened with white to make it easier to live with. While I understand the theory of the yellow or the green, for a little girl, pink is IT!

I would look for that grass green for more accents in green -- maybe find a similar polka dot ribbon and use it for tie-backs for the curtains, trim for a lamp or wastebasket. I can imagine green piping on a chair. Ooh, such fun!

I like Pale Iris better than Beach Plum for your room. If you want to go just a tad pinker, without going to Bunny Nose Pink, take a look at BM Classic Colors Baby's Mittens #1368, another nice orchid pink, imo.

Ok here are some more pics....THe coloris not great. THe green is brighter IRL and the last pic shows the best color.

If the drapes are pink, I vote for a pink lavendar. If they're lavendar or purple, I like the blue lavendars. But can you believe I didn't show the purple drapes with a pink lavendar!

In the last photo, 2nd strip from the left, 4th & 5th colors down could be great!

As a purple girl who ALWAYS had a purple room growing up, I would also go with one of the lavenders. I have always let my DD choose her own paint color for her room-and it changes quite often! It is going to look beautiful!
