Haven't come across too many Netscape users, seems most sites and applications are geared toward IE but I don't like the problems I always ran into so switched to Mozilla Firefox which I am very happy with. I still use IE for certain sites that don't work in Firefox. Picasa loads all your images into it's program as copies, sorted by date only as far as the year. It has columns on the left side with all your folders or images listed according to year. It leaves your original folders alone so they are just copied. Any cropping, brightness adjustments, etc. are then exported into a separate Picasa Export folder, leaving the original ones intact. The Picasa Album are created on the web by selecting the images from a folder and uploading them. What I like is the ease of use with just quick basic options, nothing too fancy or elaborate. You can see their free tutorial to see if it's something you want, and the program itself is free.

while that is one way, i like mine much more. i have the Logitech Harmony 880 remote and programmed it for different activities. if we want to watch a DVD, it turns on ONLY the TV and switches it to HDMI2/turns on DVD player/Surround Sound system. hit the button to watch Sat TV and it turns off the DVD, switches the TV to HDMI input 1, turns on the Sat RX. want to listen to the radio, it turns on teh surround system and switches it to radio input mode. and so on and so forth. even my 4 year old knows how to get it to DVD mode to watch her movies.

Thanks again everyone! We really do have so much fun planning and making these cakes every year. Nothing beats hanging out with an old friend who knows you in and out. And it's amazing how far our culinary skills have come since 1996. Our second cake (the angel cake)literally took us 8 hours to make. We had no idea how to shortcut or streamline back then and followed the recipe faithfully. We made the cake layers, the white chocolate buttercream frosting, the angel cutout cookies, and the chocolate pecan truffle filling which included a recipe of pecan pralines in it! The cake tasted amazing but it was a LONG day :) Our worst cake was a chocolate hazelnut torte (not pictured) from the cover of Bon Appetit a few years ago.
