Not in Southeastern WV

A while ago I posted here and asked what extra fine sugar was and where I could find it. Everyone said, any grocery store. Well, not around here. My local IGA, of course, didn't have it, but neither did a very large Walmart and a big Kroger in the closest big town. No one had ever heard of it either.

So I made the ice cream recipe, a Lemon Buttermilk sherbet, with regular granulated sugar. And it was spectacular!!

Next question is, why would you need such a specialized ingredient? (Every recipe in the book calls for it.) The sugar is added to hot liquid, and by the time you churn the product, it's completely dissolved anyhow.
