My mother used Candlelight Cabinets when she re-did her kitchen 15 years ago. Hers are a light yellow/creme color on maple and they've worn very, very well. Of course, there is only 1 adult in the household. Let me know if you'd like any specifics.

In general you can glaze the profiles only or glaze the entire door. Sometimes it's referred to as dry or wet glazing, respectively. Glazing the whole door will tint the tone of the wood. Glazing just the profiles won't.
