Sears Home Delivery of Chipper
Comments (2)Suggest you determine which manufacturer makes the chipper you might purchase and check those pros and cons. Look for a couple of local chipper dealers, make visits and ask for a demo to start and run. The much older chipper from Sears that I had was nearly impossible to start. The recently purchased 5+ hp Briggs generator requires a good pull so try it. Since Sears probably does not service at the place where you will purchase check that aspect. When I had a mower repaired, it was sent 200 miles away for diagnosis. It was too expensive to repair -- so I let them keep it. Example, Echo has an electric start chipper. Visit sears.com site and find the Craftsman 305cc Chipper Shredder and read the comments from purchasers. Home Depot sells a 305cc yard machine, rated as a 2 of 5 by a buyer and I think quite a bit cheaper than Sears....See MoreHelp Me Finish My Sears-Kit Home's Bathroom!
Comments (15)Just out of curiosity, is this tub new? I love the old style of it. You did a nice job picking appropriate fixtures in keeping with the age. Also, is that wide windowsill wood? I can see a beautiful piece of marble there, or marble-like laminate. Think old buildings with marble windowsills. As for a place for shampoos etc, could you just put them on the bathtub side ledge? If you do the u-shaped shower curtain rod, you should run the subway tile all the way to the ceiling. You'd be surprised at how high water can splash. Comments (7)Thanks for the compliments. This has been and remains a long haul, and it helps to know that other people think it's worthwhile. sivlayleah -- It does sound as though our projects are similar, although I am sure your house started life more up-market than mine. But I am pretty happy with the house. However shabby it looked, it was relatively pristine. It is probably the only Sears kit in the neighborhood (there are quite a few, as the railroad runs within a couple miles) that has not been clad in vinyl siding, had its porch enclosed, or been otherwise horribly violated. marita -- I hope the inside will be ready to see by October. It is not as cute as the outside, an in some ways it will be less carefully finished. E.g., the kitchen will have come completely from craigslist, ebay, and ikea. But with the new windows having gone in last week, I can at least see that the natural light inside is pretty good, despite the porch roof. arlosmom -- My neighbors are very complimentary but they have chosen to ignore the hat I put out to allow them to monetize their appreciation. (Actually, I am usually sweaty and dirty when they see me, and they may find me on the whole alarming.) moccasinlanding and krycek -- If you click the "before" photo twice, you will see that there is concrete sidewalk parallel to the bamboo bed on either side of the charming chainlink fence. You will also see why I wanted to have a living screen up as soon as possible. And I do keep on top of the new shoots, cutting those that arise in unfortunate locations to the ground, even though it grieves me to do so. Cheers and thanks again....See MoreSears detergent anyone?
Comments (11)I had an Aunt that had a Kenmore washer and was having problems with it(no idea what) but Sears had to work on it a few times close together. Last tech told her if she used Sears detergent she wouldn't be having the problems(must have been pump??). She was telling my Mom about it and how well it worked so my Mom bought some and liked it. This was in the 70's and then you used a 1/2 cup and it smelled like lemon to me. After you bought 12 boxes you got the 13th free. They had a detergent club and when you bought a box they punched your card so that kept up with you buying 12 boxes. Also back then it was even heavier I think because the boxes then were 40 or 50 lb I forget but if you had to carry it far it felt like a ton. They didn't have all the different versions back then. My Mom used it for years. As I said a while back, for me when using Sears it makes the clothes feel much drier after spinning for some reason. Maybe that is why they seem stiff after drying especially outside. It really cleans well I think, but was thinking the green box version has more enzymes than the orange but may be wrong. Pink--check on the K-mart website. They might have the oxi version. I have seen the Sears detergent on there before. In fact last time I saw the orange box there and it was $2 cheaper per box than at Sears. If you go to Sears and tell them that they will honor the Kmart price. I wonder if they are going to have a full line of the new Kenmore detergent? Only one I have seen is unscented and only 102 loads--must be much fluffier than the other versions. Funny how techs tell different things. I have also mentioned here about a tech telling my neighbor to use Wisk all time instead of Tide powder. Then one that we knew said use Cheer powder because it was less abrasive on pumps than Tide. That is when we started using Sears I think cause my Aunt recommended it. As years past and Maytag replaced Kenmore we went back to Oxydol, Cheer and Tide. Well, I have bored you enough! I checked on the Sears and Kmart site but no Oxi Sears. I will say Sears has the Orange box 180 loads $23.99 and Kmart has the same 180 load box for $9.99 .Sears also has the KM unscented 102 loads $21.99. I saw no liquids or small boxes of any of it. I meant to say above, the Sears now has such a chemical--ish smell compared to the 70 lemon-ish clean smell. Sears Oxi-Clean detergent at Sears Outlet.com 120 load for $13.99 reg $19.99...See Moreaprilwhirlwind
