I cant see the tomato plant very well but tomatoes, especially young ones are WAY sensitive to chemical anything. Just the drift of herbicide or in your case, perhaps pesticide can damage them. I have had my seedlings damaged when someone, some neighbor sprayed. If its a light dose, they will usually outgrow it. If heavy they will put out gnarly and/or spindly growth for a long time.

interior browning or yellowing is normal and cyclical .. increased by any long term stress ... including winter ... even in warm climes .... the insult could have been a year or 3 ago ... as noted... the only way to tell whats going on.. is to get under there.. and dig a few 3 to 6 inch holes .. and FIND OUT the status of moisture in the soil ... then act accordingly ... IMO.. there is no soil issue.. on a 20 year old tree ... the soil itself i mean ... its probably a water issue.. complicated by the soil ... usually lawn watering is not sufficient for trees .. of which conifers are ... be nice to know where you are.. and the extent of the drought .... find out.. then report back.. then we can advise ... ken

who cares.. its really cool .. lol... a vast majority of the time.. leaf damage is not all that a big deal ... and they are usually specific to a given plant ... meaning they wont spread all around.. if just left ... lets see if that ends up being supported by rhiz .... if im wrong.. im wrong ... ken

just wanted to give an update! thank you all for your help! had a friend help put up some sheer curtains and the shelf on the other side of the room. the couch is still a futon, but I did buy it a heavy cover for the time being. it's frustrating because I have to smooth the wrinkles out of it and adjust it a lot, but at least it's better than the sheet. there is a blue chair in the corner i'll post another picture of. it was $20 at a yard sale. I'm not sure if I should keep it around or not, or look for something different. I have another one but they're too big and awkwardly shaped to fit 2 in the room. still working on getting things up on the walls...I need a better drill. I'm still frustrated with it "feeling" cluttered and not as clean as before though, and still pretty college student-y if anyone has suggestions!
