HomeGoods/Marshals always has a big selection, but like everything else they sell the stock is not consistent.

I've had several made at a local framing shop - three for this house alone. You can get something unique, beveled mirror or not. Cost depends on how nice the frame is you select.

I tried going that route and it was very expensive. I wanted a beveled mirror and it had to be a exact size. I had looked exhaustively for the right size mirror with no luck. But maybe there are other resources. Worth asking at a frame shop, maybe for a plain mirror they could do it. Or you could buy a plain mirror at the hardware store and have them cut it to size.

I looked at a glass store for mirrors - heavy AND expensive. Bought more than a few mirrors at places like Home Depot and have been known to paint the frames out. For rustic, maybe a furniture store that sells pine or oak items? Or, flea markets? Or post a Looking For ad in Craig's List (or something similar)?

I stumbled on a nice large one at Steinmart not long ago if you have those in your area. Kirklands usually has a decent selection also.

Except for the matching copper mirrors over my bath sinks and the big mirror over my antique sideboard-remade-into-a-vanity in Hall bath (see link!) that came from Marshalls for $50, I have purchased all mirrors in the house at garage sales and estate sales. I have about 6 I think!

How rustic do you want it? Knotty pine log cabin rustic? Or more of a shabby chic sort of rustic?

You guys are the best. I am looking for something with a rough hewn look to it, or something similar to dilly dally's above, but want it in a dark color. (Over the past couple of months I kept going to Crate and Barrel's website and looking at a very large 'basque mirror' that was made from mango wood. I almost ordered it over the weekend and when I went there today, it had been removed as a product! I didn't act fast enough - I liked the mirror it was just a tad too large.) I'm now considering this West Elm mirror. There is also a woven leather one at Napa Valley that is a contender. Thanks for the ideas. wig

I love Uttermost products. They have a huge selection. I just bought a 60 X 40 one. You can pick one out on their website and then find a dealer who will sell it to you.

I really like the one at West Elm. fwiw, I've been in a NapaStyle store and was not impressed. I always enjoy looking through their catalog, but many of their products disappointed me. The ones that are suppose to look "old," looked like "something new trying to look old." *snicker* Hope that makes sense. It's early!

The wood mirror no longer available - did it have the metal round brace at each joint (corners, but not on the outside of the mirror, half way)? I've seen them online somewhere.....but a locally owned home store has them too.

Pier One and, surprisingly, Hobby Lobby which has a decent
selection of good sized mirrors.

I find my mirrors at second hand shops, or flea markets, or goodwill. I paint most of them.

I'm a fan of Uttermost products, too. I found this mirror online and bought it for our guest bath. Also have had good luck at Ballard Designs, Hobby Lobby, and Kirkland's.

Look in glass places. Sometimes they have custom mirrors what were not accepted by the customer, and they are selling them at extremely reasonable prices.

allison0704, thanks for the heads up on West Elm and I know exactly what you mean. I wasn't totally sold on that mirror anyways. The mirror that is no longer available had peg joinery (not sure if that is how is should be stated) that you could see in the corners of the wood, but it was all wood, no metal.
Thanks for the link lsandler. It does look like they have quite a few mirrors. I do wish they had prices listed so I knew if they were within my financial ballpark. Do they tend to be middle range or higher in price?

I have kept a look out for mirrors in consignment stores, etc. but without luck. To be honest I'm getting tired of looking so may just take the plunge with one of these.

Over the last couple of years I've purchased several mirrors from various resources. I paid a big dollar for an Uttermost mirror that was made of a plastic product, though beautiful. Two were purchased from Kirklands with a sticker touting it made from solid wood. My favorites were solid wood vintage mirror frames purchased from ebay minus the mirror, which I had replaced locally.

One more thing....our powder room is very small and after searching for the "right" mirror and not having much luck, I found a beautiful distressed wood frame at Hobby Lobby and had a glass company add the mirror. It turned out beautifully. The frame was on sale and cost less than $20!

Try and antique shop. I have bought several nice mirrors at antique shops. Wide variation of frames, many are rustic and certainly one of a kind!
