Lived in our house for 45 years in NY. Had oak floors throughout. Those floors went through multiple dogs and two kids and their friends. In the 45 yrs, we had the floors refinished 3x. They held up beautifully and those floors sold out house. I would never compare solid wood to laminate or other types. They can get damaged and then what do you do? I'd get fixtures that match, even if they are all a bright white. You can then use a more off white ivory tile instead of a bright white tile that is the color of your fixtures. I think a bright white tile - both hex and subway wall tile, is going to look too modern for your 1920s house. I have had to make hex and subway tile selections for older homes and have been right were you are at nice. Get samples of all the tiles and hex's in the brighter and less bright colors you are considering. Get them in to the space and look at them. Get more than just one tile of each color. Get a handful so you can stack them next to each other and really get a feel for them. In the end, it is truly is fine to have brighter fixtures and more ivory, creamy, old timey, less shocking white floors and walls. Look at pics online of renovations like yours. Gotta say, I'm not in love with that vanity for your craftsman home. You are looking for something 12 - 17 inches shallow, I understand, but does it have to be a vanity? Could a shallow console work? Or a shallow pedestal?

Just leave it be.....it will revive all on its own :-)) Weather and irregular watering has caused some leaf spotting but since the tree will be dropping its leaves shortly, that is not much of a concern. Just make sure it receives adequate deep watering till fall and winter rains return. Not all Japanese maples have red leaves and yours looks to be one that does not. I see no sign of any red foliage being present.

I’m a big fan of green. This house is in California: I also really like the turquoise always posted above. If you haven’t already, try a search of trim colors on stucco houses, stucco house colors, etc. Lots of ideas come up. Would like seeing what you decide! I love this style house and think it looks fine as is, but could also look great with a refresh.
