Oh yeah, I love the color too, the color of gardens!

I used my "new" mixer from Nancy (wizardnm) to make the wedding cake. A word of advice from someone who is just learning: Do NOT toss a couple of sticks of butter and a 2 pound bag of powdered sugar into the bowl and turn it on, just because you know it can "handle it". Ahem. If you do, you will require an extra bag of sugar to make the icing.....

Annie, here's a trick to try when you think things might go flying... drape a kitchen towel over the top of the mixer...helps to contain the dust. :))

So who's got the cheapest price on attachments?
I know there's going to be a couple I want fairly soon.

Any recommendations? It came with the "C-shaped" dough hook, flat paddle and wire whip.

That's Fantastic! Good DH! The three attachments you mentioned are the only ones I use. I do have one for meat grinding that I have used once. We bought it through Kitchen Aid.

I keep an eye out at KitchenAid's outlet for attachments and such. It's not the only place, but I recently picked up a refurbished bowl for my 6-quart for $19.00. Far better than $60 and who cares if it has a scratch or two since it'll get scratched anyway? (When KitchenAid says "refurbished" it might just mean the box was pierced or a customer might have changed his/her mind. It doesn't always mean "rebuilt.")

My last purchase there was a refurbished grinder attachment for $29.00. The prices there aren't always the best, but it's worth keeping a look out.

Great toy, if it can be called a toy. I love that they come in colours other than white. I want to get a red one myself. My old Kenwood Chef is getting ready to give up the ghost.

Congrats on your new toy! The only att. I have are the meat grinder, pasta maker/sausage stuffer. I got them on line from the place with the best price at the time, (googled it, Biz Rate etc.)
