A few days ago Jodi emailed me to ask me how we did

in the recent bad storms and tornado. (what tornado?)

I was sick and the tornado missed us. I slept thru it.

I did see all the damage around us on the local news.

She mentioned "...since you don't post often at the KT anymore...."

I realized I haven't posted anything in a while.

So I told her I would post an update on the PoohBear Household.

Even tho I don't post often, I still read everyday.

I don't read everything. Just what looks interesting to me.

Instead of posting this directly here at KT I am posting this

as a text file so if later I feel like removing it I can do so.

This may turn out to be more info that anyone wants/needs to know.

And I don't really feel much like commenting on it further.

So I may not answer questions about any of it.

It was hard enough to get it all out and even harder to post it.

I'm not sure this is a good idea but I'm putting it all

out here anyway and see where things go from there.

For right now I would like to say other than being sleepy

I am feeling fine. So nobody needs to worry about me.

I am gonna post this and then go to bed.

I'll check back this evening but probably won't respond.

My gosh you have had a time of it but seems like things are starting to get better for you. Sending a big (((HUG))) and special thoughts for the whole family.

(((((PoohBear))))) You poor dear. Bipolar is a difficult thing to have to live with when there are no other problems and you sure have had your share of them. I hope that having your son with you now will help ease your depression as well as make life easier for him. I hope he will be able to get his dog soon. Have you asked your lawyer about that? Maybe he/she can help. Your son has been through a lot too and needs his companions if possible.

I knew I hadn't seen you here much, but thought you were on some other forums and just didn't have time to visit here.

I wish there was an easy answer for a way to get things repaired around your house. Have you ever tried bartering your computer skills for some repair or handy man help? Just a thought.

I'll put you and your family on my prayer list and I'm sure many of us here will pray for you daily. The KT prayer power has been awesome in the past.

Please post whenever you feel up to it. I don't know you well, but your nice personality comes through in your posts and I always enjoyed reading them.

Mike I love tall guys roflmao. I wonder what they see way up there?? Glad you are still bored. Well...wish you weren't but it is to our advantage :-) First year growing MG trees and I just love them! The text on the bugguide page clearly states that they are braconid cocoons. One image there shows an end view. The cocoons are in the fuzzy stuff surrounding the dead caterpillar. God detective work. Thanks. BTW, where do you live?

Yup, I have tentatively chosen cork now that I have 5 bad discs. But I also recommend strength-based therapy and hip mobility work to actually fix the bad back and knees. I can stand on tile now with no problems. (But I won't use it because I HATE GROUT WITH A PASSION.)

One thing, I'd hope you remember--medical science has advanced by leaps and bounds since your dd was a child. I know, even with a procedure my DH had about 5 years ago, and had to have repeated this year, there was vast improvement. I'd be willing to bet that the treatment today is better and hopefully more effective than what you were told many years ago. Wishing your daughter the best. As to your other news--Fantastic, the very best to you and your children.

It's great to hear from you Pooh. Very happy to know that you have your son now. What a blessing for both of you. I'm sure he'll do so much better in school and just in general. Plus, he will be a great help to you at home. I hope they will let your boy have his dog soon. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Good news about your mood lifting too Pooh. I'm sure when you start getting more active again, with the weather warming up, you'll start having better luck with your weight loss.

The 4-wheeler sounds like a great choice for you. I can only imagine how much freedom that allows you.

Pooh, sorry you had to go through so much. Glad that your son is with you. I'm happy that things are starting to improve. I agree, getting out in the fresh air is the best thing. Take care. Sending good thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

Pooh, so good to hear from you. You have surely been through a rough patch, but I can tell that you are doing everything you can to keep going. Good for you!

Having your son there with you is a morale booster for both of you. Now I hope he can get his dog back soon.

You have helped me, and others so many times at CompHelp. That is where I missed seeing you.

Thanks guys. I woke up about 8pm. Been helping DS do his homework.
My son got to bring his dog home today.
The house is cold but the bedrooms and TV room are warm.
Gonna see about getting the furnace looked at tomorrow.

It's been a long year but right now I feel like we are
doing pretty good. I have no complaints right now.
If we lived a little farther north or south things could be
a lot worse.
The local news footage of the tornado devastation is scary.
Those people have a lot more to worry about right now than I do.

Just remember, I may not be posting, but I am lurking about.

I am so sorry to hear of your up and downs these past months. My DH is Bipolar so I know how difficult things can get sometimes in spite of his condition being quite mild compared to many.

My heart soared when I read of your winning custody of your DS. Such a tough battle and it speaks of your and Cindy's strength, love and determination to accomplish so much with Murphy's Law hovering in the background.

Take care Pooh and know I will have you and your family in my thoughts.
