You ask your doctor. He can pretty much tell by the "feel" of the ovaries if they have atropied or not. Women in their fifties have babies. They may be producing fertile eggs even though they are not building up enough uterine lining to have a period. It's a complex happening. I remember one dear soul in our choir. One Sunday morning while she was getting ready to go into the church, she found out that even waaaayyyy after a year, you can have a period. Lucky for her, one of the other women had spares. Hello All, I am currently in menopause stage. I have all the symptoms listed, I had suffer over 3 years now. Recently I feel better by using DIM for stabilized my hormone naturally and using supreme royal jelly to help my sleep. (this will knock you out within 1 hr, this is all natural and have a lot of protein but it quite expensive) along with this you have to use stress relieve supplement to help your adrenal. I have no problem with the dryness. My skin still glowing ,everyone thought I am in 40 but I am in mid 50. I only have mild hot flash sometimes if I forget to take DIM. Also keep up with vitamin supplements daily. It is hard to digest all of these supplements but it will help. i hope this will be informative for everybody that have to suffer. I

Hello ladies, I am 48 and have had been on this roller coaster ride of peri menopause for over 13 years.. Yes, you heard me, 13 years. No one could tell me what was wrong with me, first Dr. thought a celiac, so I stopped eating Gluten, my digestion issues did not stop! I think I was 35 at the time and had just stopped nursing my second child, a year prior. Then at 37 I started having panic attacks, heart flutters.... etc... Testing, still no answers.... I could go on, just know, that I have had all 66 symptoms thru out these 13 years. I have eaten healthy for over 25 years, well before it became a fade to do so, I have always worked out and danced. I have chosen not to take HRT or Bio's. I too, at times thought I was dying, before I realized it was peri, and just waited to die.... I can tell you that I talk about it all the time with my family and friends. My husband is going thru the men version of his change, too. Men go thru it, too, they just do not talk about it. Laughing is the best medicine. It (Peri Menopause), in many ways has saved my life... I never knew that I was in fact an incest survivor, until the panic attacks set in and I had to go on a quest to find out what was happening ( sparked by the hormone change). If you are having intense symptoms, it is often a sign that some trauma from childhood is coming forward from you unconscious trying to find resolution. I found my life's work thru my early peri menopause, as it made me go into therapy and heal my past, and now I do that for others. So, on my worst days, I feel blessed to have transformed some very deep emotional pain, that was hidden in the recesses of my mind, and body, that peri menopause brought to my being. Good luck ladies and know, I feel for you especially if you are just starting your transition, you can get thru it, make sure you have a supportive home life and take time for your own need, regardless of what anyone else thinks.......

They can't spend money they don't have and so the shortfall in support leads to rising tuition charges. What I believe exacerbates the problem is that too many American youngsters who are neither academically oriented nor capable wind up going to college because - what's the alternative. And too many state schools are NOT selective in their admission practices. The schools thereby have to accommodate swollen enrollments and spend money not for good value returned. Many private colleges thought to be "very expensive", including some of the very best, are in fact not expensive at all. And can be cheaper than state colleges for in-state students. Many provide free tuition to qualified students from families with modest or lower middle class means and provide generous subsidies to cover living and other costs. And, supplemental tuition charged to out of state students is EXACTLY the same as charges travellers incur around the US, like municipal hotel taxes, occupancy tax, supplemental tax for rental cars, and the like. Why? Because the expense falls on people who don't vote, so it's a way for cowardly politicians to raise more money without angering their local electorates.
