And are you busy this weekend? Hallson Gardens is having an open house on Saturday. They're located in Cement City, which is only 90 minutes from me. cearbhaill, LOL, I do very little housework during the garden season. TJ, I've been working on less pressure in the garden too. I also try to "shop" in my garden more. I move plants to better locations, either better for growth or better for me to appreciate. Ken, normally I'm not CRAZY, just a collector. I have 234 entries in my hosta journal. 6 are sports, 1 is a seedling, 15 are duplicates, and 4 are NOIDs. That leaves me with 208 named hostas. And I haven't been to the Hidden Lake auction yet, maybe next year. ConnieMay, it finally rained here! Lots on Saturday, a little Sunday, then lots again Monday. With the ground so wet, i took the opportunity to move 5 hostas yesterday and plant 1 new one. I'll get there eventually :)

They are two different roses with the same name. The yellow rose is from a Dutch breeder, Olij Roses, and it doesn't have a listing on HMF. The salmon rose is from an American breeder, Dr. Zary, and was released by Jackson and Perkins. The one you are buying is evidently the Dutch rose.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I don't think I was able to remove all of it, it was too tangled with healthy roots and I didn't want to damage them. It's not mushy, necessarily, it just had a lot of give to it when I touched it, like it wasn't as firm as it should have been. It was wet to the touch, not dry, if that makes a difference. Do you think I should try to separate the two stalks in case it spreads to the healthy one, or would that damage the roots too much?

I have a deer laying under the maple tree in my front yard. Fat cat on the front porch, a frog by the fountain, a lawn jockey at the end of the driveway, and a little boy holding a flag by the shed. Mine are concrete not plastic though.
