Quality of Safavieh Rugs from Overstock
Comments (31)Well I just ordered Coleen's blue rug in the runner size for about $90 bucks. I figure this way I can "preview" the rug to see if I really like it and I can always send it back at a much lower fee than sending back an 8x10 rug. I had just bought a blue Oriental runner from TJmaxx that is "OK", but nowhere near as beautiful as this rug. I'll probably end up keeping the runner regardless. I really wish Overstock had one of these Safavieh's with a chocolate field with blue and green accents. That would really fit the bill for me. I keep reading about how fast people get stuff when they order from Overstock. Do you have to do the optional faster shipping for that to happen?...See MoreGramercy Momeni Sage Area Rug - Have you seen in person?
Comments (12)All - I was a good little bat and did the right thing, and ordered the smallest size :) kswl - Loved your enthusiastic response, thanks!! Holly-kay - IâÂÂd love to order from RugStudio due to the excellent customer service youâÂÂve mentioned; I may give them a chance to match the lowest price I find. Karenseb - Thank you so much for the Overstock find, nice detective work! IâÂÂm guessing at the pattern size and just hoping the color will be right. Yes, IâÂÂve seen the same variance and am checking the pictures from every browser possible. The picture you posted I think is the same I photoshopped but something could have easily been lost during the copying and pasting and different programs; the âÂÂpictureâ of the rug in place does look lighter to me. I like the lighter green look. I originally fell for the rug in charcoal and am hoping any green in the sage version will be sufficiently lighter. Voila - Checking the reviews is a good idea and I do it religiously for appliances (but didnâÂÂt even think of it here). Thanks for the color feedback. Sueb20 - so glad you saw this! Great to hear the carpet has stood up well. Did I get the size of the circles right this time?! Peony4 - If this fails, I will definitely order multiple samples next time. As I checked out I was wondering whether I should have included a few others, just in caseâ¦. Glad you lucked out with your sample selection. Have we seen pictures of what you selected? Please post :)...See MoreAaaaarrrggghhh! Overstock and online rug colors...
Comments (4)I hear you with the rug pics and colors. I've ordered 2 rugs from Overstock; one I'm very happy with, the other less so. The one I like was a more expensive, hand-knotted rug that had no feedback. I was however able to determine it was a Safavieh rug and found better pictures elsewhere to see what it looked like. For this rug, the O picture was actually pretty accurate. The other rug, was also a Safavieh rug, but a tufted rug. The reviews were actually right on, but I just didn't fully comprehend how I felt about it. The rug shed horribly for several months and is only now starting to decrease. It also was more muted. My advice would be to try to avoid a tufted wool rug if at all possible in any high traffic area--esp. a kitchen. A synthetic rug would be better if you cannot afford handknotted. Not sure what you mean by matchy-matchy: if these match with what you have there now or match with one another?...See MoreThings I have ordered online - - -
Comments (70)@Lars I hear you about the fabric! One of the fabulous bargain chairs I bought off Marketplace needs new upholstery (the back and seat are upholstered and it has a short skirt - gorgeous carved wood arms and legs). I've been ordering samples from online fabric stores but am still waiting on a few. IT. IS. SO. SLOW!!! I've bought fabric online before for home dec projects and while I wouldn't mind looking around in a fabric store, we only have one really good one in the area and of course I won't be going there during this pandemic. Oh my, my little area would seem another world to San Francisco or Los Angeles!! I don't buy food online either. I've bought a few items from Amazon Pantry but not actual food. Closest thing is the cappuccino mix I used to use. I finally weaned myself off it (too much sugar). But I love placing a local grocery order online. I miss my produce market though - closed till March!...See MoreHolly- Kay
