Risk buying dining chairs before table? (midcentury chairs)

I'm considering buying six chairs off of Kijiji for the dining room of the modern cottage we are building.

The chairs are mid-century, (apparently Erik Buck Model 49 chairs), photo below. Clearly they need reupholstering!

My BIL will probably make our dining table, I'm thinking a fairly simple and rustic barn board type table. Or oak boards. The floors and some walls will be white oak.

Is it too risky to buy chairs before the table? Do you think mid-century chairs will work okay with a modern rustic yet still modern(ish) table? I will have some other MCM furniture in the adjoined LR.

Thanks!
