I'm sorry, I don't have a clue. Years ago, hubby's brother was baby sitting, and would get so engrossed in a book, he didn't notice one of my kids got a hold of a marker and "wrote" all over the lower kitchen cabinets. I couldn't find anything to remove it, so I had to strip and refinish all the of the cabinets. It took me two years! Good luck to you, Grammahony in finding a solution. Guess it would be rather difficult to refinish a frig. Dottie

I'd start with hair spray and a Magic Eraser like Sandy is talking about.

I have to jump in with the Magic Eraser. My roommate put his clothes in the dryer and there was a pen or marker in his shirt or something. The whole drum was blue. I was seeing red. He bought a couple of the Magic Erasers.. peace and harmony was restored.

These things are genious.

Scotch Brite has/had something similar to the Magic Eraser that works a little better for those kind of marks. It's been a couple of years since I needed it so I'm not sure if they still sell them.

Connie is right...hair spray melts it.

Only thing I've found that hair spray won't get it off of is porous materials...like dolly skin...lol

Spot Shot has some vicious chemicals in it. It remove nail polish from my cream carpet. Might work for that too.

Test it first of course.

Try rubbing alcohol. After I saw something in Heloise Hints, I used it to clean my dry erase board, so it might work in your situation.

Rubbing alcohol will remove permanent marker marks.

Many people swear that an eraseable marker will remove permanent marker from markerboards. Supposedly something in the chemicals in there. Wouldn't hurt to try.

Yes, Magic Eraser will scratch. Try windex or nail polish remover (with acetone).

Magic Eraser is my only suggestion. It works on everything for me

WD40 might work also, I use it to remove lots of stuff.

Any laundry stain stick product, like Shout. My kids wrote with magic markers on the wall and I got it off with a laundry stick. This was about 15 years ago.

My youngest son did some "art" on one of my end tables that was solid wood. I used WD40. If it didn't hurt the wood, I don't know why it would harm a fridge. Or, look in the automotive department at Wal Mart and get GUNK for engines. That will remove most anything.

nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol. always does the trick.

Thanks everyone. DD got it off. I don't know she used but she said it took some of the finish too. So maybe she used Soft Scrub or something.
