Happy New Year everybody. I am trying desperately to wrap up my kitchen and now family room renovation. I have some silky slinky platinum panels to hang around my slider in the kitchen and my double window in the family room side. The room is now one big space.

I'm sort of stumped on exactly what I want to do though, and I always seem to do best by looking at lots of photos, but for some reason I cannot find "the right" photos to look at. Are there good decorating blogs I can check out?

I would like to have a woven shade of some sort mounted above the door & window,in between the panels to give it that texturey feel, but I'm not sure if I want dark, or light, or how high to really hang it (I think the curtains are going to be way up there at the ceiling--ok, so it's only an 8' ceiling!). They are pocket curtains, I'm not sure I want to use the pockets, or do I want rings? Do I want a fat rod? Or a skinny rod? Dark color or silver?????

Do you see why I need photos?

Any links you can give me would greatly be appreciated. I think whenever I see the look with the fancy panels and then the casual woven roman shade, I love it, but trying to buy the shade is hard because I can't convince myself or my dh that this is going to work.
