Comments (3)Thx... CFL'sdo offer some advantages though ahving alow/hi level switch doesn't seem to be one of them. We aren't going to use an actual dimmer switch though but having 2 levels might be nice ( never know as it may turn into usin gmostly 1 level , on that time will tell ). Our electrician seems to prefer Xenon and we'll probably head that direction though I'm trying to find out what color temperature the Juno Xenons are. Thx for the CFL suggestion. Is appreciated :)...See MoreWhat length of xenon under cabinet lighting...?
Comments (3)I did the longest length available -- Alico Zeelights, but there are several brands available in stores & on-line. This spreads the light across your countertop & workspace to enable good work light -- you won't have to move to read something. The Alico have an on/off switch that has a bright & dim setting & we also have wall switiched. They work nicely. I think you'll be glad you did it....See Morexenon light bars for under-cabinet
Comments (11)3000 K is my preferred color temp; as I have gotten older I find that the standard 2700k that are traditional for incandescents isn't as easy to see in. It is a funny thing, that outdoors I never think that sunlight is cold, but indoors the same color temperature as sunlight (5000-6500k) seems quite blueish and cold. I didn't like the look of xenon and especially didn't like the heat it produces and the minimal (if any) reduction in electricity use....See Morenative_tx
