How high is too high for a built-in microwave?

Wow, so much information on this forum! We recently moved into a home with a combo wall oven / microwave and it needs to be replaced. We are planning to go with a separate single wall oven and microwave so that we can replace each piece separately if one breaks. I am trying to decide between 2 models for the microwave (Jenn Air combination speed cook/micro JMC2430 which has a door that opens down, like an oven, and the Jenn Air countertop microwave JMC1150 with a trim kit.) I've been looking at the dimensions and clearances needed, and it looks like the microwave will need to be a few inches higher than we have now, and the wall oven a few inches lower. I'm fairly average height and am wondering how high is too high for the microwave, especially for the one with the fold-down door. Or how low is too low to mount a wall oven? Thanks for any advice!

thanks,

Michelle
