Tile look laminate-x-post kitchens

We currently have wood laminate in our mudroom/laundry room. It has been down 15 years and has held up great. We are remodeling installing wood flooring in kitchen and family room that joins the mudroom area. I really don't want the expense of real tile and dealing with the grout lines etc. Does anyone have any recommendations for real look tile laminate? There are some that have texture and look more realistic than others. Anyone have pictures/recommendations?

I have Trafficmaster Allure in my hallway and both bathrooms, the baths are a lighter color. We will be extending the darker one into the kitchen in the near future, and I can't wait!

They are a plank laminate, 1'x3' long, also a floating floor, and my husband had no problem putting them in. We installed the downstairs bathroom right over the old vinyl, no need to rip up the old floor either.

They feel like tile, they're even cold with bare feet, look like tile, and are so easy to clean. We've not had any problems with lifting or peeling either.

I put a marbelized matte vinyl that has a cushioning back and is anti skid finish which is matte also. It never shows any dirt and sooo easy to clean. I think a solid piece with no pattern or lines would look better. We purchased our's at Lowe's.

I saw your post on the kitchen sight, and I really liked your cabs. Have you thought of changing out the knobs, maybe bronze or nickel? They look like wood, and that would break it up a little. I agree that the wall color needs to be changed, just not sure what. Have you searched the Finished Kitchen Blog or Houzz.com and looked at other kitchens with hickory cabs? That's a good place to look for inpiration. I think an island in a painted color might give you a little something extra as well. I wouldn't paint until I'd given the hickory a chance. All the best!

We put the wood look tiles in a house that we will use as a rental property. I am not there to take better pictures. These are some picture I already had. We put the tile in the herring bone pattern with a border in the living room and kitchen. It is the cheaper priced tiles. There is color variation in the tiles. We also used the same tile in the office. They are laid on the diagonal. I will also post a picture of the wood look tiles we used in the bathroom. These are a different tile. They were longer planks and not much color variation, and cost more. They cut them in random different sizes. I hope the pictures help.

I think I have seen it somewhere. I would be a bit concerned about the glue and such being so close to food. And the thin layers of wood being vulnerable. Oy my sister and I have been heaving wood around all week. If only you were in the neighborhood.... I have vetoed carrying 3" slabs upstairs but they need to go somewhere.

Hi MsMagoo, we bought the flooring at Home Depot, in store. Pretty sure you can order online also...there are about 4 or 5 different colors if I remember right.
